Job Description

Concore Scan and Coring is looking for a **Part-Time Concrete Scanning and Coring Technician**. We’re seeking someone with a Structural Engineering background, who can conduct professional GPR scanning, concrete coring, and utility locating. The role requires travel to job sites in **Toronto, Montreal, and Ciatel**. Your main responsibilities include performing GPR scans, analyzing data, creating reports, and conducting coring when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform GPR scanning to identify utilities and subsurface elements (rebar, electrical conduits, etc.).

- Execute concrete coring operations as needed.

- Prepare job sites, manage equipment setup, and maintain tools.

- Travel between job sites (Greater Vancouver and surrounding areas).

- Generate accurate reports for clients.

- Maintain clear communication with clients and team members.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction.

- Valid driver’s license required; personal vehicle needed (travel expenses covered).

- Structural Engineering degree or related field.

- Experience with GPR scanning, utility locating, or concrete coring preferred.

- Strong computer skills and GPS expertise.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

- Flexibility to travel for jobs requiring overnight stays (expenses covered).

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $26/hour (Part-time, 24 hours per week).

- Commission Plan: Eligible for a commission plan after 3 months of employment.

- Company Vehicle: Option to use a company vehicle after completing training.

- Paid Sick Leave: 5 days of paid sick leave per year after 90 days.

- Travel Expenses: Out-of-town travel and overnight stays covered.

- Branding Compensation**: Option to use your own vehicle, with additional pay per kilometer, and extra compensation for branding your vehicle with the company logo.
