About Us

Move Well Cafe, a coffee shop centered around movement, coffee and community. We have taken our passion for movement from our company, Orthoquest, and combined it with our love for coffee to create a unique experience in the Okanagan.

At Orthoquest, our mission is to provide high quality products and services in a friendly and fun environment to help our customers Move Well, Be Well, and we are looking to bring that same level of customer service and quality to the Move Well Cafe, one sip at a time.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations and lead our team in delivering outstanding service. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for coffee culture, movement, community, and the ability to foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures
Ensure high standards for food and beverage quality, presentation, and customer service.
Recruit, train, and supervise cafe staff, fostering a positive team environment.
Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
Monitor inventory levels and oversee ordering to maintain optimal stock levels.
Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally.
Uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment.
Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to negotiate contracts and manage relationships.
Maintain financial records, prepare budgets, and monitor expenses to maximize profitability.
Stay updated on industry trends and implement best practices to enhance cafe operations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a cafe manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of financial aspects of cafe management, including budgeting and cost control.
Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and a passion for delivering exceptional coffee experiences.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Food Safe Certificate required
