We run year-round, offering programming for P.A. Days, winter/March Break, and summer camp. Currently, we have 11 locations throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and are continuing to grow! We welcome campers between the ages of 5-12 years old and are dedicated to nurturing a fun and dynamic learning experience each summer! For our younger campers, our multi-activity camp features exciting weekly themes like Dinosaurs, Pirates, Space, and more. ABOUT THE ROLE
This year our summer camp will run from June 30th to August 22nd, 2025. We are looking for Camp Counsellors who can commit, full-time, to 6-8 consecutive weeks, from June 30th to August 22nd, 2025.
Camp Counsellors play a crucial role in shaping the camper experience. They are responsible for supervising and guiding campers during various activities throughout the day. Reporting directly to the Location Manager, this role involves creating a positive and inclusive environment, organizing and leading programming, ensuring the safety of campers, fostering teamwork, and providing emotional support. Working in a fast-paced environment, Camp Counsellors exercise daily judgement and showcase exceptional communication skills. Camp counsellors play a crucial role in facilitating a memorable and enriching experience for campers under their care. WHAT YOU WILL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES):
Camper Care
- Build strong and rewarding connections with campers to provide a supportive and enriching camp experience.
- Supervise campers at all times, including during meals and on field trips.
- Lead campers on excursions (e.g. to the park, ROM, Science Centre, Casa Loma, etc.).
- Administer comprehensive camper care, including but not limited to first aid response.
- Provide/teach conflict resolution between campers to foster harmonious relationships.
- Motivate campers and fellow team members to create a positive camp environment.
Activities & Programming
- Adhere diligently to the programming schedule to ensure the success of camp activities.
- Engage with campers by creating interactive experiences to inspire creativity (e.g. singing songs, dancing, showcasing talents etc.).
- Plan and lead daily indoor and outdoor games to keep campers active. This includes but is not limited to organizing face paint, chalk & bubbles, water games, themed games etc.
- Lead daily arts and crafts sessions using the provided instructions and materials. Ensure that each camper completes their craft project daily and has their name written on it.
- Deliver daily pre-planned 45-60 minute theme activities and adapt pre-planned activities, as required, to group dynamics, time restrictions, etc. Create a fun and engaging environment for campers to learn about the weekly theme.
- Prepare arts & crafts and theme activity supplies for the next camper group by instructing campers to clean up after themselves and leaving the camp spaces tidy.
- Protect camp materials and toys from reckless damage by properly caring for the weekly theme materials, costumes, games.
Organization & Reporting
- Manage time well to ensure programming is carried out accurately and punctually, according to the daily timetable.
- Escalate any/all issues to the Location Manager and address all concerns with the appropriate level of urgency.
- Complete a weekly feedback report to the Location Manager and share the responsibility for completing weekly 1:1 staff evaluations.
- Sanitize and organize camp equipment and materials at the end of the day, every day.
- Prepare/set up the camp space for the next morning, every evening.
Team Support
- Demonstrate self-awareness and understanding of the impact of individual attendance on the overall team dynamics and camper experience.
- Provide flexible support to the team in adapting to last-minute changes in camper groups, daily timetables, staff schedules, field trips, and other activities.
- Attend to ad hoc tasks as required.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING (REQUIREMENTS):
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Available and committed to working full-time, Monday to Friday, for 6-8 consecutive weeks total (June 30 - August 22, 2025).
- Flexible to work 40-42.5 hours/week; with alternating shift schedules.
- Working towards a Bachelor Degree in education or a related field preferred.
- Complete a valid and recent Vulnerable Sector Police Check (no older than 6 months) at your own expense prior to the start of employment.
- Provide or obtain a valid and current Standard First Aid & CPR, level C, certificate at your own expense prior to the start of employment.
- Participate in mandatory paid staff training on June 21&22.
- Participate in a potential 2-4 week paid government-sponsored job skills training course prior to the start of camp.
- Previous experience working in a team environment is a requirement.
- Previous experience working at a summer camp or working with kids is an asset.
- Specific skills (sports, art, science, yoga, etc.) an asset.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in dynamic, noisy environments with high-energy children.
- Productive working in fast paced environments and able to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
- Flexible and adaptable to last minute changes.
- Excellent organizational skills and good time management.
- Enthusiastic, energetic and positive attitude towards all tasks.
- Ability to take initiative and ownership over tasks.
- Professional demeanor towards all campers, parents and staff.

PROGRAMMING
At our multi-activity camp, we group campers into two age groups to provide strategic programming, targeting developmental skills in a fun and exciting way. Every week we follow a different theme that is reflected in our daily activities and our weekly field trip. Campers look forward to days filled with experiences that keep them both mentally and physically active. Further, our weekly field trips enrich our programming, as campers get to visit local parks, museums and some of Toronto’s most popular attractions.
KIDS CAMP (5-8 years):
In the summer, our KIDS CAMP experiences fun weekly themes such as Space, Trains, Underwater World, Around the World etc. These themes are the basis of all activities, crafts and games that our campers enjoy and learn from at the same time. Our activities stimulate different senses and target select motor and developmental skills.
JUNIOR CAMP (9-12 years):
Our specialized programming for our mature campers and deep dive into topics such as Science, Healthy Living, Leadership, etc. Our older campers get to experience more challenging themes and learn in a fun and interactive environment about the weekly topic with their like-minded friends.

HOURS & SCHEDULE
40-42.5 hours/week with changing schedules.
Candidates must be available to be staffed all schedules.
Early schedule: 7:45 am – 4:15 pm
Regular schedule: 8:45 am – 4:45 pm
Late schedule: 9:15 am – 5:45 pm
