Measuring and Analyzing Job Performance with Indeed Analytics

Indeed Analytics shows you how your jobs are performing on Indeed. These insights can help you make decisions about your budget and job posts. Use Analytics to create and share investment reports. You can filter and export data, compare results across time, and manage more than one account at once.

Getting started

  1. Sign in to your Indeed employer account.
  2. Navigate to your employer dashboard.
  3. Select Analytics from the menu on the left side of the screen.

Analytics overview

  • Spend snapshot provides a breakdown of what you’ve spent by product.
  • Spend for Smart Sourcing is only available if the date range includes the purchase dates.
  • Return on investment (ROI) provides an overview of each product’s performance.

Change the date range

  1. Click or tap the calendar icon inside the date range box.
  2. Set the date range.
  3. Please select your start and end dates.
    1. Use the dropdowns to move between months and years.
  4. Click or tap Apply to update the report.

Compare two date ranges

  1. Click or tap Compare to date range. A second calendar will open.
  2. Select your date range and start and end dates.
  3. Click or tap Apply to see the results side by side.
  4. To stop comparing dates:
    1. Click or tap the right-hand date box.
    2. Select Remove.

Did you know? Comparisons are not available in table views.

Filter data

  1. Navigate to any of the tabs except Overview.
  2. Click or tap the Filter data dropdown.
  3. Modify the filters based on what you need.
  4. Select Apply filters.

Did you know? Filters only apply to the tab you’re on and vary by report type.

Conditional filters

In some reports, you can set conditions. For example, jobs with a cost per click below a certain value.

To set conditional filters:

  1. Click or tap the Filter data dropdown.
  2. Select an item from the dropdown. You can choose from these topics:
    1. Totals
    2. Conversion ratios
    3. Spend ratios
    4. Dates
  3. Set your condition.
  4. Click or tap Add condition.

Did you know? You can add more than one conditional filter.

Export data

  1. Click or tap Export to download report data as a CSV file.
  2. For specific exports:
    1. Click the three dots next to Export.
    2. Choose your file options.

Share reports

  1. Click or tap Copy link next to the report title.
  2. Send the link to others to share the report with your team.

Did you know? Shared links keep your filters. Others will get the same view that you set.

Managing Analytics across multiple accounts

If your company has more than one account, you can use Groups to view them together:

  1. Click or tap Edit in the Groups box.
  2. Select the accounts you want to include.
  3. You’ll get combined results across all selected accounts.

Switch between Summary and Detailed report

Summary

  • Provides an overview of job performance.
  • Shows key metrics in one place.
  • Actions:
    • Switch to Detailed report
    • Toggle between graph and table views
    • Export as CSV

Detailed report

Metrics over time

  • Shows daily results (impressions, clicks, apply starts).
  • Adjust to show data by day, week, or month.
  • Compare metrics by selecting Add metric.

Metrics table

  • Group results by factors like location or job title.
  • Search, sort, and customize columns.
  • Change the grouping by using the View by dropdown.
  • Add or remove columns with the plus sign.

FAQs

Question: Can I apply filters to all reports at once?

Answer: No. Filters only apply to the page you’re currently on.

Question: Do shared report links include date ranges?

Answer: Yes, shared links include both filters and date ranges you set.
