Full job description

Tackpoint is a precision manufacturer producing high-performance bearing components for aerospace, space, and defense applications. Our parts operate in some of the most demanding environments in the world, where precision and reliability are critical.

We run state of the art CNC equipment with advanced process controls, enabling consistent, high-tolerance production. As we expand, we are hiring skilled operators who want to work on challenging, high-value components not commodity parts.

Open Positions

  • Nakamura Automation Operator
  • Hard Turning Finishing Operator
  • Roughing Operator

Shift

  • Night Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM (4 x 10-hour shifts)

Pay:

  • $30–$36/hour + night shift premium (based on experience)

What You’ll Work On

  • Precision components for aerospace, space, and defense systems
  • Tight-tolerance parts with repeatable, controlled processes
  • High-production runs with short cycle times (1–3 minutes)
  • Advanced CNC lathes (Fanuc and Okuma controls, Nakamura and Okuma equipment)

What You’ll Do

  • Operate CNC lathes in a high-precision production environment
  • Perform setups, tool offsets, and adjustments (based on experience)
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Maintain strict quality and tolerance requirements
  • Follow structured, well-defined machining processes

Requirements

  • CNC machine operation experience (lathe experience preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable and able to work independently

Asset Experience (Role-Specific)

  • Nakamura machines (finishing role)
  • Hard turning or roughing operations
  • Okuma Machines
