Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer & Operator specializing in Haas Milling Machines to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling equipment to produce precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and CNC machining processes to ensure high-quality production standards are met efficiently and safely.

Duties

  • Develop and modify CNC programs using Fanuc controls for Haas milling machines based on technical drawings and specifications.
  • Set up and calibrate CNC milling machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixture alignment.
  • Operate Haas CNC milling machines to produce complex parts with tight tolerances.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models using SolidWorks or similar software.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify part dimensions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize machining processes, improve efficiency, and implement lean manufacturing principles.
  • Assist in assembly or related tasks as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, or forklifts.

Skills

  • Proven experience with CNC programming and operation, especially with Haas Milling Machines and Fanuc controls.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting CAD files from SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, welding, and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to use precision measurement tools such as calipers accurately.
  • Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances.
  • Familiarity with CNC lathe operations is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, forklift operation, and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
