I gained great experience working with individuals globally. Coworkers were very supportive and friendly. Local management was initially stellar in developing my skill set.

Difficult Work Life
General Labourer (Former Employee) –  Kirkland, QC12 April 2018
A difficult place to work. Ownership is lacking at the upper levels of management, and priorities are placed on political advancement rather than actual product or customer concerns. Work to life balance is terrible. The expectation is Zodiac is your life, no other priorities exist. Pay is not the greatest, but the benefits (medical) are good and paid by the company.
Pros
Full service cafeteria (expensive), paid benefits
Cons
Poor salary, long hours, unrealistic and unobtainable expectations.

Good place to work if you can live without overtime
Labourer (Current Employee) –  Kirkland, QC7 March 2018
When I first started at Zodiac, I had no complaints.
Since they have taken away most of the overtime, it is hard to make enough money to support a family.
Benefits are good
Pros
friendly people
Cons
no overtime

Human Resources Generalist (Current Employee) –  Kirkland, QC22 June 2017
A typical day at work is filled with many different projects as we are an open door company. Expect the unexpected is our reality. The most enjoyable part of the job is helping employees with their concerns.

The work environment is fun, the work and project direction is never clear. Management seems to always take out fires and never plan ahead and scheduling is almost non existent.

Basic Benefits, Hard Working Coworkers
Store Clerk (Former Employee) –  Kirkland, QC9 January 2017
Basic Benefits, Hard Working Coworkers

I've worked at CDI (Zodiac Aerospace) for about 3 Years.
Unfortunately the experience wasn't what I expected an Aerospace industry to be.

Lots of newcomers to Canada are taken advantage of by very poorly developed Team Leads, effects their Supervisor needs within their Stores Department. If you look at the turn around of Supervisor employees coming and going, you'll see a history of issues with managing employees with respect and or lack of respect for ones culture because of the Team Leads bad mouthing their employees.

Their Production Support is fantastic, guys always willing to give it their all, even with a lower wage, not industry standards for Aerospace, but the guys always keep a positive motivate outlook. Company for some reason aids and promotes their poorly developed Team Leads with Bonuses and support for keeping the teams divided, at least that's how employees feel. Over all the company provides great basic benefits, but far from Aerospace Standards.

The day the Team-Leads are replaced within the Stores Depart with people who know how to treat employees will be the day Zodiac will advance in higher productivity measures.
Pros
You Keep your Job if you don't make a mistake.
Cons
poorly developed Team Leads and Supervisors

Fun place to work. Good place as a stepping stone. Poor management
lead hand (Current Employee) –  Montreal, Quebec14 July 2016
Hard working people. Real family atmosphere. Very poorly managed. They are willing to train you but no room for advancement. Too many clicks. They seem to have the "everyone is replaceable" attitude.
Pros
Good medical benefits
Cons
Too many clicks in management so difficult to advance
