15 hour work week. Minimum wage. Typical retail these days?
Sales Associate/Cashier (Current Employee) –  London, ON2 September 2017
Clients and coworkers are generally really good.
Manager expects staff to stay with a customer once our shift is over but will not pay us for this extra work. Also, no extra pay to close the register at the end of the day.
3 and 4 hour shifts which means 15 hours spread over 4 or 5 days.
No benefits except the employee discount which, on paper, sounds good until you realize that the clothes are overpriced compared to other retailers. So, even with the discount, it's cheaper to buy elsewhere for similar quality.
Clients complain about the Final Sale Return Policy which is archaic for a chainstore and not customer friendly.
Pros
Customers & staff are nice. Job is easy.
Cons
Short shifts. Not many hours available. Not paid for extra work.

Exciting and fun atmosphere!
SALES CLERK (Former Employee) –  London, ON16 October 2016
Excellent team to work with. Have known most of my co-workers for many years, and find the atmosphere to be fun and business-like.
Clients are treated respectfully, and seem to enjoy their shopping experience.
Because staff get along well, clients are at home and comfortable.

I enjoy the experience of connecting with a client, finding what she needs and even some things she didn't think she needed!
Pros
Looking forward to going to work!
Cons
Quiet times

Ladies Fashions
Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  Hamilton, ON4 September 2012
High end ladies fashion store located in the wrong mall. Customers constantly telling you that the prices are too high and asking when the next sale is and still complain that the prices are too high.

Management takes all long weekends off and does not work evenings or Sundays. Makes staff come in even when they are sick but makes sure that they have time off when they are sick. No pay raise or bonus in the near future.

Great co workers you are basically running the store because manager is too worried about making themselves look good to the ownership. No praise or thanks for a job well done from management. Only complaints about the numbers.
