15 hour work week. Minimum wage. Typical retail these days?
Sales Associate/Cashier (Current Employee) – London, ON – 2 September 2017
Clients and coworkers are generally really good.
Manager expects staff to stay with a customer once our shift is over but will not pay us for this extra work. Also, no extra pay to close the register at the end of the day.
3 and 4 hour shifts which means 15 hours spread over 4 or 5 days.
No benefits except the employee discount which, on paper, sounds good until you realize that the clothes are overpriced compared to other retailers. So, even with the discount, it's cheaper to buy elsewhere for similar quality.
Clients complain about the Final Sale Return Policy which is archaic for a chainstore and not customer friendly.
Customers & staff are nice. Job is easy.
Short shifts. Not many hours available. Not paid for extra work.
