Marketing and Community Manager in Vancouver, BC
on 18 April 2017
"Lifestyle position" means that you have no life
There was not a waking moment that I was not working. I worked 7/days week, 17 hrs a day (no exagerration). I worked through Christmas, missed birthdays, weddings and funerals, because this "lifestyle" position did not allow for personal time. Since my stint there, I believe that leadership has changed, and I assume that the job is more reasonable. It was a great and stretching experience, though not a sustainable one.
