Community Inclusion Facilitator (Former Employee) –  Yellowknife23 January 2020
Be prepared for anything! The clients are all very different and complex. So are the management. The staff are often new Canadians that may not command the English language well but hard workers.

Officer (Current Employee) –  Yellowknife, NT21 September 2017
Clients, co-workers and managers are a pleasure to work alongside. This is a workplace community, for sure.
The goal of the association remains consistent and places the clients' needs first, which feels good to pursue.
The work is satisfying and the team is dedicated and often inspiring.
Management accommodates family needs at home whenever possible by adjusting schedules.
For people who are passionate about caring for their community and helping others realize their own potential, this is a lovely place to come to work.

it was a very good company until the board hired all these new poeple. it was all about the money and not about the clients.
work was very routine with the client. learned alot about patience. co works where good. hardest part of the job was when the clients acted up. the most enjoyable was makeing the clients happy and feel they had a purpose

Team Leader/Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Yellowknife, NT19 September 2016
Very supportive to the employees, room for growth if you show potential and avail yourself, I can go back anytime if we relocate back to YK. Enjoyed making positive impact to someones lives, hardest part when staff are on vacation and there's not enough people to cover the shifts

No stability with hours of work, no advancement
Support Worker (Former Employee) –  Yellowknife, NT4 September 2016
I loved working with the association for community living because I loved working with the clients there. I was promised a full time permanent position which I never received. My hours raged from any hour in the day or night, with sometimes many hours in a week and sometimes none. I never knew from one month to the next if I was getting enough to live on. The schedule was only posted monthly
