Coming from a Semiconductor industry which is more influenced by western management style, I came to experience first-hand, the Japanese influenced management style and system. Both practically follow sound management system.
The management has the people as first-in-mind , creating unprecedented loyalty. The length of stay in the company of top and up to mid-management must be in 30 years.
The hardest part of the job remains to be coordination, as you have to deal with relatively sensitive and 'naive' people. It is a test of mastery in encouraging people to be more aggressive and participative.
Salary and benefit-wise, it pales in comparison with multinationals or foreign -owned companies in the Philippines
Culture is very Filipino- very courteous and disciplined workforce. Everybody is treated with respect.
