Bad management and people who work there are full of ego.
General Labourer (Former Employee) - Kitchener, ON - 2 March 2023
Honestly, management wants slaves.they want someone who work and don’t use their brain.Management is poor and they tell people to do things which doesn’t make sense sometimes. They don’t even show the documentation to the people who are working there and funny thing is those who are in management they think that they’re something because of their brain and talent which completely opposite. They’ve been through this situation where they were forced to do stuff and now they’re doing same thing with people who are currently working. The people who are working there are innocent and they’re in need of money and these people are taking advantage of them.
Pros
Doesn’t exist
Cons
You have to work at lower wages

Wasted 3 years of my life
Forklift Operator (Current Employee) - Kitchener, ON - 28 January 2022
This company will only hire on temps making them believe they will be hired in through the company eventually to receive benefits. That won’t happen.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Bad pay, terrible management, zero benefits and no job security.

Boring work paired with awful management.
Shipper and Receiver (Former Employee) - Kitchener, ON - 12 January 2022
Good place to work if you are happy never knowing what you'll make each year. Promotions done entirely behind closed doors with very little room for advancement if you aren't in with the one awful supervisor. Horribly ran facility with very little reason to stay long term.
Pros
Straight hours and easy to book time off.
Cons
Pay, no future, incredibly toxic work environment that management not only ignores, but promotes and participates in. (John, Andrew, Scott)

Huge turn around
Order Picker/Product Handler (Former Employee) - Kitchener, ON - 2 January 2022
Repetitive but easy work. The team lead was awesome but most people were miserable. They would have bbqs in the summer seldom none the less it was a very nice and appreciated gesture. Pay wasn't great.
Pros
Occaisonal free lunches. Once hired on the benefits package is the best I've ever had
Cons
Pretty much everything else

Not the place you want to work if you want to go anywhere.
Forklift Operator (Former Employee) - Kitchener, ON - 27 August 2020
I worked there for 2 and a half years, waited for raises for things I was intitled too. They also had me driving forklift before my actual training with the the certified trainer. Instead of working helping out the workers who work hard they put more work on and still get paid the same. I was a forklifter/order picker and whatever else just to be paid the same as pod workers. Also, I had been used to afternoons for 2 years there, respectfully before the pandemic. I came back for a 12 hour day shift which I am not used to. I respectfully wanted to come back on my normal shift. Now I have a DNR. Would NOT work there. Mind you. I was a temp for 2 plus years. No room for advancement either.
Cons
Over worked, not trained for the tasks at hand correctly, under paid and no room for advancement. No contract for even years.

staffing agency
General Labourer (Former Employee) - Kitchener, ON - 4 September 2019
the agency who recruits people for Yazaki is not helpful, first they put me on hold and now they are not hiring me back and said not to call them again because they don't need me, when they clearly post the ad about hiring.
Pros
Yazaki is nice place to work
Cons
their staffing agency sucks

Not getting a contract anytime soon
Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) - Kitchener, ON - 16 August 2019
They dont really care about employees. Make you work through staffing agency and hardly give you contracts. Not recommended for someone who is willing for something permanent
Pros

Cons
Not hiring on regular basis

Bad management, no job security
General Labourer (Former Employee) - Kitchener, ON - 8 March 2019
Management is childish and inconsistent. People were fired for almost no reason, 1 temp every few years gets hired on. Recognition was never based on merit, it was always a popularity contest. The more attractive you are and friendlier, the more likely you are to stay and see any kind of increase. The only people i saw promoted were attractive women under 30, everyone else was cannon fodder.
Its ok for a little while maybe since the work is simple, but its like working in a high school class.
Pros
Easy work
Cons
Fired anytime for no reason
