Assistant Store Manager (Former Employee) – London, ON – 17 November 2017
I started as a Second Assistant Manager, and was promoted within a couple months to Assistant Store Manager. The DM was rough around the edges but we got along after a while. Pay was good, hours were good, and I loved it. I unfortunately just had to move on.
Assistant Manager (Current Employee) – Oshawa, ON – 23 May 2018
I thoroughly enjoy my job at Yankee Candle Company, and have been able to learn so much more about the management world after my promotion. Work culture is very positive and open for everyone including employees, customers, and management.
Store Manager (Former Employee) – London, ON – 4 February 2018
Not a busy place. Upper management really just harps on everything. Good for getting managent experience and moving on. Pretty much no room for growth in the company. Bonus almost never pay out. Pay is average.
Assistant Store Manager (Former Employee) – Ottawa, ON – 26 September 2017
The customer are amazing. Employees, its a hit or miss. Higher management on the other hand, terrible. If you do something wrong, they hold it against you, and in their eyes you can do all wrong. There is no room for advancement, benefits arent that great. The only thing that is great is the discount on candles and the most of the guests are amazing.
Executive Assistant to Vice President of IT (Current Employee) – South Deerfield, MA – 6 December 2016
In my role, every day is different with the variety of tasks required at any given moment but I welcome the challenge. I've learned over the years that not everyone can be pleased regardless of what you do. Many of my co-workers have become like a part of my family or a very dear friend. Sometimes the hardest part of the job is when things change. The most enjoyable part is simply seeing everyone each day and helping where I can outside my regular role.
