Not the worstI absolutely hated working here but it was not the worst place. Other than one supervisor who got handsy, the people were pretty decent to eachother. It's an insular clique-ish culture, there is no room for advancement and the shift bids are designed to ruin your life, but again, not the worst place to work.

Toxic and manipulative managementAssistant general manager is incompetent and a nightmare to work for. Would not recommend. Management set an unhealthy culture in the work place and are disconnected from the basic needs of staff.

Not the greatest experienceWhen I started at the hotel, I worked as a front desk attendant and loved it. Granted it was challenging and it took me about a month to be somewhat comfortable with the work. After a few months I was moved to housekeeping and it was an absolutely awful experience. I was made to work very long hours everyday, even though I was hired as part time. The pay was not worth the work load. I was trained by someone who did not know how to train. At the time it was me and one other housekeeper cleaning all three floors. At one point the elevator broke so we had to carry the laundry up and down the stairs. Not to mention my co worker was a few months pregnant. The management did not listen and did not care. They would sit in the backroom and chat all day, sometimes go out and pick up food or go to the store. At the time I was trying to balance work and school so I asked management for less hours which they agreed to but did not follow through. The most I worked was 8 hours everyday for six days in a row. I'm not saying your experience will be like this. I believe with better management it could be a pleasant place to work. The housekeepers are overworked and exhausted. I'm not sure about the other wyndham destinations but the hotel in my location was awful.

Loved it until new ownership took overI started and two weeks later Covid lockdown started as new ownership and management took over. The new ownership kept me around as I was the only current employee not on sick leave due to covid. As soon as I trained enough new employees to cover each shift they fired me because I refused to do housekeeping which was a unionized position. They said they let me go because they no longer required my services 4 days before my 3 month probation was up and the following day after refusing to do the housekeeping work which I was not trained to do properly under covid rules.
