Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedGood company to work for. Pay is good (union job site) sr leadership is fair. They have work all over the region, I like to think there is a reason for that. Safe place to work

Overall a good place. Work is constantly challenging which is a good thing. Room for improvement as with anywhere. Tight deadlines are normal for this industry.

toxic work enviroment with rampant nepotism
Steamfitter/Pipefitter- Foreman -Maintenance (Former Employee) - Alberta - 1 August 2023
One of the worst places I ever worked post Jacobs. Management is completely out of touch with reality and showed utter contempt for the tradesmen on the maintenance crew. When we refused to put ourselves in harms way to get "x" back up and running management belittled and shamed workers. Safety deteriorated to nothing more then vocal platitudes.
Pros
none
Cons
poor management, zero loyalty and utter contempt for tradesmen.

Great solutions, great people, weak leadership
Director of Business Development (Former Employee) - Canada - 27 July 2023
Great organization offering a wide range of solutions across a number of industrial sectors such as mining, power, renewables, oil, gas, infrastructure. Some great people that I cam across and a lot can be learned from projects the company delivers. My BU was challenging as team members sat across North America which made collaboration difficult and people worked in silos. As part of my role I was required to have business travel to meet clients and travel requests were difficult to get approval on. My leaders sat in Western Canada with very little interface and involvement. I found their engagement was weak to non existent except at end of year reviews as such they could not provide guidance to improve in my role. They were also driven with a tunnel vision approach that focused on GM and opportunity pipeline, there did not seem to be any other metrics to measure and evaluate performance or to support career advancement in other roles. On my last day my manager made the comment "I apologize, we did not set you up to succeed" More than 50000 employees so easy to be treated as number. As it is a large organization, I would go back as I don't believe my experience is indicative of the wider organization

Avoid !!!
4th year Apprentice Pipefitter / Valve Technician (Former Employee) - Fort McMurray, AB - 19 June 2023
I worked with worley industrial for 10+ years. The management is horrendous, the office staff is even worse, do not expect to get paid on time if that’s what you’re in to. This company doesn’t hold any value to their employees, they treat their workers like garbage are constantly take away perks and incentives. Avoid this employer
Cons
Management, payroll, office staff.

Good place to work. Frustrating management
Electrician (Current Employee) - Fort McMurray, AB - 13 May 2023
Seems to be very consistent with acquiring work and keeping people working. Can be frustrating to work for with the style of management but its something that can be over looked.

Pipefitter (Current Employee) - Fort Saskatchewan, AB - 28 April 2023
People you work with are good. Management is not very supportive and don’t show very much encouragement. Pay is good and there is lots of work. Definitely some kinks to workout but overall not very bad

Work at 200% capacity for half the salary.
Support (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 22 April 2023
Employees are expected to perform their jobs at 200%, but the company pays half the wages they did before the 2015 downturn. But Cost of Living continues to increase every year and even more since Covid-19.
Pros
Location
Cons
Low wage scale for a large company.

Not valued
Mechanical Engineer (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 19 April 2023
Company does not value employees and underpays. Management performed pay cuts and my pay wasn't touched as I was "already at a lower salary than most". As a female, this shows how far they still have to go in terms of equity.
