Okay
Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee) - Rexdale, ON - 8 September 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedTop-heavy management with little to no career advancement. They prefer to hire externally. But on a positive note is that they offered flexible work hours

Terrible. Do it if you are miserable!
Retail Associate (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 18 November 2022
Terrible management, half of them do not know what they are doing. They take cuts off of your pay cheque even though their machines that count your till break down every other day. Coworkers are rude, don't treat customers well. If you are a people person, this place is not for you.

Fun
Security Guard (Former Employee) - Rexdale, ON - 8 July 2022
Don't stay very long use it as a stepping stone. Company is poorly managed. Lots of politics, union is not so good or strong. lots of favoritism. you have to work your way up to get good schedules

Drastically gotten worse after the pandemic
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 17 June 2022
We were doing more work after the pandemic than previously. Yet the wages are stagnant and the company is proud to raise it by a few cents above minimum wage (this was during the wage increase). People admitted to me that they're working overtime just to survive yet the million dollar racing bets and upper management wages can supply enough money to pay more livable wages for people below management. I did have safety issues because of harrassment issues against coworkers from certain people. Although I had some good experiences, the company needs to provide safety and security for their underpaid/minimum wage employees. Don't be surprised about the high turn overs anymore when people are just trying to make a living to survive.
Pros
hardworking employees, employee discounts on certain locations, discounts on food once per day
Cons
some customers are aggressive, underpaid, safety issues, pipe leakages, overworked

Very good place to work. You get 20 minutes break for every hour that you worked and you're also entitled to get tips from customers. You can choose from 3 different shifts.

Great room for growth and opportunity
Server (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 12 February 2022
I was working as a beverage server at Woodbine which was okay. The pay wasn't very good and was hard to live off of in a big city like Toronto. Tips were sometimes okay, great or terrible so that added on to the base rate would determine what you would earn for the day. Great coworkers to work among, some of the management weren't as great, however some were. I would say it's okay to work here but make sure it's in a department you would be happy in
Pros
A lot of work perks, Benefits are given after 90 days when you pass probation, Coworkers who can understand what you're going thru, Also opportunities to advance if you would like.
Cons
Some customers, A few managers, Not having the freedom to express yourself at times

Above average work environment
Camera Operator (Current Employee) - Etobicoke, ON - 26 January 2022
Managers and supervisors are very supportive and want to see you succeed. Exciting work and easy to foster friendships with coworkers. Room for growth if you are interested. Internal hiring and promotions based on seniority.
Pros
Room for growth. Caring management. Good pay. Exciting work
Cons
Only part-time hours available for my position. But this made Woodbine an excellent second job.

Accounts Receivable Analyst (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 28 May 2021
If it wasn't for Covid-19, I will still be there. Exciting work environment, great supportive, professional culture and they were granted "50 top best place to work" award in 2019....speaks for itself.

Security Guard
Security Guard (Former Employee) - Campbellville, ON - 10 October 2020
Security department is a complete joke at this company. The pay is way too low for the risk involved depending on which location your working at within this company. Not everyone is paid the same within this department, although the management expects everyone to work at the same level. This department and the whole company in general doesn't care about harassment. The security management can literally say anything they want to their security guard staff and HR won't care. Most of your co-workers are out to get you within the department. As well, as the employees that are not in the security department are out to get you because it's a very toxic place to work. I wouldn't recommend anyone to work for this horrible company! Stay away and work somewhere else!!
Pros
none
Cons
management, pay, harassment.

Good place to work, fast pace
Heavy Duty Cleaner (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 25 September 2020
it was a good place to work, management is good, but watch out for fellow employees. As long as you do your job in a professional manner and obey the guidelines, it is a great place to work.

Awesome place to work
Dishwasher (Current Employee) - Etobicoke, ON - 17 March 2020
Lots of overtime. As long as you are not lazy you would stand out and they would give lots of over time up to 60hrs a week . Supervisors are pretty chill
