Cutthroat
As a neurodivergent person, wood. was not accommodating. As a professional, it was a humiliating experience. I should have picked up on the signs early on - multiple predecessors in my role in a short period. My typical day was spent overhearing my manager's confidential, loud speakerphone through the poorly insulated walls separating us; I would close my door in an attempt to minimize the disruption to my work, but this closed door was not acceptable, as apparently I needed to be available to answer the questions my manager would regularly shout from across the hall. To avoid this, I requested the freedom to work part of the time from other common spaces nearby in the office park we were based out of, but this was denied. My 'training' consisted of an introduction to an overworked colleague in another office and instructions to ask them for assistance whenever I needed it. As a company whose sole service is providing capable technical consulting, they seem to place a very low value on their employees. Workers with wood. are commodities, at best, unless they are high-value earners. Those who they do value wind up working 80 hour weeks until they fall apart. Managers with abusive tendencies are not dealt with so long as they continue to bring in fresh contracts. The anxiety-inducing work environment made me too ill to function effectively, and at that point I was laid off. This was not a healthy, normal environment.

Productive
The company has a good environment and good management. I feel that the company cares about its employees and tries to keep them by giving an acceptable salary and position. They treat people as human rather than just an employee.
