terrible management. No room to grow. Manager only by title they have no idea how to deal with team. Favoritism is the key to be taking in consideration.
Great company with good benefits. Dont work in Supply Chain. Good place to learn how not to manage people.

Productive and fun people to work with
Cash Application Lead (Current Employee) - Calgary, AB - 7 November 2018
My typical day consists of applying payments to customer accounts and dealing with emails.
I have learnt to work in a fast pace environment, which I prefer and enjoy.
My work place consists of friendly team work and a happy, comfortable environment.
Pros
Free lunch at month end
Cons
Working late at month end

Fun but not motivating place to work
Material Handler (Former Employee) - Milton, ON - 23 October 2018
Management is the biggest problem. Human Rights department is a pretty much useless as there no one on site 24hours. Work is heavy and fast pace but the people make it a okay place to work.
Pros
CP24 news on TV in break room
Cons
Always hiring, cause people always leave

Not worth it
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 18 October 2018
*Supervisor expects immediate results without proper training period.
*Poor communication & support from management.
*Disorganized chaos, last minute rush.
*Poor archaic inventory recording, labeling and tracking resulting in
disorganized stock piling of crates, depleted shelves.
*Time wasted searching for supply of orders.
*Un-supportive, incompetent local HR department.
*Quick to cast blame without investigating.
**Backstabbing, frail, holier-than-thou, thin-skinned front office co-
worker.
*Continuous failing of IT.
Pros
8-5 work, 1.5 hour break period, free coffee, coveralls
Cons
Backstabbing BS

Constant change no consistency
Analyst (Current Employee) - Burlington, ON - 11 October 2018
Senior management has vision for the future.
The company is constantly changing and evolving.
Lots of challenges and opportunities but no consistency / accountability.
People are friendly but management is self-promoting and self-serving.
Unrealistic requests in unrealistic timelines.
Job work/life balance is not very good and the workload is unmanageable.
Pros
Friendly people, flexible work hours, clean environment, extra holiday in month of birth
Cons
Unhappy environment, unmanageable workload, poor benefits, poor management

consider working elsewhere
Accountant (Former Employee) - Burlington, ON - 28 August 2018
Great place to work if you were very close with management; otherwise you were just another face in the department. Never involved in any projects. I learned that no matter how hard you try or any successful achievements in the company, you`ll never be promoted.
Pros
Free day off in month of birthday
Cons
Lack of management communication; lack of advancement; lack of management commitment

Poor working conditions
Former counter sales (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 13 July 2018
Never worked at a place before that made you go through safety regulations first before doing HR payroll forms. Took them 4 days to approach with payroll forms. Co-workers were good to work with. For a plumbing supplier to not hire tradesman is very different, guess the hourly pay reflects that. High turnover rate of employees below the management level should tell a company to not be so cheap.
Pros
Hours of work
Cons
Everything else

Equipment Operator/Truck Driver (Current Employee) - Timmins, ON - 17 April 2018
Wolseley Mechanical is a top notch company with plenty of room for advancement. They seem to be up to date with just about everything. Also, they are always improving and updating their procedures, which is in my opinion a good sign of a forward thinking company. I give Wolseley an A rating if you're on the fence on applying.
Pros
Great work environment
Cons
No bonuses, wage is okay

wolseley in Fort McMurray is a very poor atmosphere to work in daily
counter sales, order picker (Current Employee) - Fort McMurray, AB - 20 March 2018
My experience with wolseley in Fort McMurray was not the greatest. The management and staff are very unprofessional the language and way customers and their employees are treated in very distasteful. This is a very clicky work place good luck trying to fit in here unless you party hard and play in a band. There is little to no training for the counter so if your back ground in not dealing with plumbing good luck.

Not much hvac, mostly plumbing
Inside Sales (Former Employee) - Concord, ON - 11 August 2017
Lack of training, you need to belong to the clique with management to get any respect. Managers are like slobs. It's like putting lipstick on a pig. No organization when moving two branches together. It's like backing a dump truck up and dumping everything into a pile. Always taking counter staff from branch and sending them to other branches so that would leave so called flagship branch short staffed. Co workers were good, management terrible, should have been captain of the the Titanic and then they still couldn't sink it properly.

Customers are the Best
Warehouse/Inside Sales (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 15 May 2017
Fun place to work most days.
Customers were more like friends than customers, but still able to maintain a professional atmosphere.
Love that the staff knew each other by name, didn't feel like just a number like some other companies.

Productive and fast paced environment
Inside Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Olds, AB - 10 April 2017
This is a good place to gain experience, gain knowledge and apply your skills. Education is available when time permitting which benefits all parties involved. Management can be an obstacle with regards to advancement and ability to relocate is a definite asset.
Pros
Reasonable hours, education programs
Cons
Limited opportunity for advancement without relocating
