Not worth it for the long run
Working with Winnipeg School Division has alot of great opportunities both inside and out in the workforce. On the long run being with the division for 5 years and two schools it had a mix of good & ok management. Assistant Caretaker in Winnipeg, MB

Not a bad gig
It’s steady and honest work. Work life balance is great, salary is pretty competitive for the area and the benefits are good, not great but good. There’s opportunity for movement.Substitute Educational Assistant in Winnipeg, MB

This job is meant for students and stay at home moms who want to make an extra buck
I’ve been working as an EA substitute for 5 years with no degree and it’s very hard to get anywhere in this position let alone as a career. If you do happen to have a degree,be expected to land full time work 10 years from when you graduated. Working as a substitute EA is a joke. You’re only babysitting with low pay and you will get treated poorly. Try to find schools that align with your values and you’ll be fine. Education Assistant in Winnipeg, MB
