It gave me a chance to fully use all of my cooking techniques and 24 hour care provided to a disability person with great challenges. It was very rewarding to be able to care and provide for a person who has these day to day challenges in life.

unsatisfactory management system
Home Support Worker (Current Employee) - Seven Oaks, MB - 10 July 2017
The job routine was good, you will meet different people with different nationalities. The management is not that good to their employees and there's no room for the employees for advancement.

Good place to work at
HOUSE SUPPORT WORKER (Current Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 9 March 2016
My typical day working as a house support work is interacting with clients, cleaning bathroom and kitchen, vacuuming, dusting, doing laundry.
The most enjoyable part of it is visiting people who live alone and keeping them company, while doing my work.
The hardest part of the job is when you've been working with a client for a long time and they pass away.
Management isn't always the best at calling the workers to notify them about clients who have canceled or giving important information about a client.
Pros
Not always in the same place, Time flys by
Cons
Unorganized management, Don't always call you back, Don't give important information

I love working with people. Working with seniors is fantastic, but I also work and play well with persons of all ages.
This line of work confirms for me that I am a patient person, well organized and willing to learn new skills.
I bring with me a B.A. in life experience.
