Productive but sometimes tough.
Home Care Attendant (Former Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 8 August 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIt was a good type of job to go to clients home, if you have your regular schedule. Otherwise, it can be a rush day driving around your work area. I think the problem was sometimes about the length of time to provide care and the way some scheduling clerk organize our schedule, but the overall I Liked to work as a home care and help my clients. Also, my RC (Resource coordinator) was very good to help me to dealing with some situations, I cannot complain about him .

Can be stressful at times. Adding lots of clients in your schedule. But management give recognition if you're good at your job. You'll meet different clients and culture.

Home Care Attendant (Current Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 21 December 2018
I am always looking forward to meeting new clients and assists them depending on their needs and tasks assessed by the Case Coordinator. I have learned to deal with different kinds of people with different cultures and religion. The hardest part of the job is when the client can't speak English but as a worker, I was able to find a way to communicate with them through the body language and the use of technology. The most enjoyable part of the job is when I see the client happy for what I did.

Best place to work. Enjoyed working as a homecare aide and healthcare aide as well. Good salary. Good benefits. Staff are friendly. Their yearly Christmas party celebration is something to look forward to. I really miss working at WRHA and it is my hope that I can be given a chance again to work there.
