Great workplace for engineers, although they seemed to struggle with work/life balance. As Administrative staff, we felt needed and valued for what we could do, while also being regularly reminded of our low billing rate. Appreciation depended on which engineer was being served, but most were thankful. Was a family run business, but due to two tragedies, became run by others. The loss of the family feel is also part of the tragedy.
No longer family run
It was a fairly nice group to work with. There was an uneven project load. There was a large turnover of employees. Lots of resignations and hires. They were taken over by a larger company after I left.
People were easy to work with. Some very knowlegable and experienced people on staff.
Day to day - approve time and process from staff, Need more guidance for staff to do better jobs Management too soft Culture changed with elimination of banked time hardest part, getting information Most enjoyable - very busy and the majority of people
People, some of my staff, hours of work
Superior, Senior Leadership team, flexibility over staff compliment
very positive atmosphere in the office. Am gradually retiring, will surely miss the place, the work and the people
Have over 42 years experience in this field, I have been with this company for over 22 years with 2 previous engineering firms, They are the best of the 3 companies.I have worked very hard for them, traveled extensively for them through out Canada, They have treated my extremely well, I still work almost full time in summer and spend 4 months in Arizona working on line a fee hours a day.We have sold out home and have a summer place in Gunn Alberta. The place is not winterized, but we are not ready to spend 6 months down south yet, so looking for a FURNISHED house or apartment.in or around edmnoton.
