Management has their hands tied by a dated council with prehistoric policies that prevent the advancement of the fire services. Budgetary restraints cause firefighters to be equipped with aging, faulty equipment that puts them at a disadvantage the moment they step off the floor.

It is a environment that is encouraged to learn and expand on skills. The group of people are amazing to work with in the hall. Definitely encourage people to join.

I do not recommend this company for anybody. Management is bad, this company thrives on bullying and harassment. Work life balance is not their priority.

Little room for advancement in position. Bureaucratic, government agency. Shop managed by individuals who have little or no knowledge of shop jobs or work environment. Extensive paperwork.
Pros
8 hr days no weekends
