Extremely high worklaod
My manager is great, she is very understanding and did well to get me the best contract she was able to. The workload is extremely high, whereas I work often on my own time. I'm fixing horrible mistakes made by previous staff that are time consuming and have left clients without coverage they thought they had.

Not a great place to work
They don't have training, or advancement and the pay was very low. Not sure who this company would benefit. Alot of people work there while getting thier licensing and than quit i guess. Avoid

More like wasteland for brokers who have no ambition and whine about their feelings.
Run as fast as you can! This is the place where careers go to die. Upper management lacks direction which leaves staff confused. Management is more, concerned about their career than the brokers.

A caring work place where you can make an impact
I joined Westland just over 2 years ago and couldn't be happier about my decision. It's the healthiest environment I've ever worked in - everyone I interact with is genuinely nice and very kind and that starts with the CEO. He leads with an authentic "people first" style and is so open to hearing new ideas and feedback. It's an exciting place to be with all the growth going on and I see that people have an opportunity to be part of really interesting projects. I feel like I get to do meaningful work and make an impact. It's refreshing to be part of a place that genuinely cares for it's employees and is open to continuing to evolve.

Great Intro to Sector - Not A Long Term Company
This company was really good to interview with and to get started in the insurance industry. I was able to get my license and work a steady schedule for the first 3 months. However, after about 4-5 months I noticed that the company has a high turnover rate, my schedule became similar to past retail jobs will hours not being consistent and often working 6 days in a row. Salary and benefits are well below the industry average.I would reccomend Westland for someone looking to start in insurance but for anyone with experience to beware. Work culture varies office to office but in general everyone seems frustrated and tense. Management does require high workloads at all times to meet deadlines and often times you will be asked to do things you may not have been trained on.
