This is a very exciting and fun company to work for, however it has a shaky future due to legalities,

I very much enjoyed working for Weeds Glass and Gifts, this was always an exciting and fun place to work as it is such a new industry that everybody from staff to CEO were constantly learning and growing with the industry.
However due to legalities and the shaky future of the industry and its regulations, this is not a very stable position at this time. I did learn very much during my service to Weeds Glass and Gifts and enjoyed all of it. Our staff is amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and eager to share that attitude and knowledge to everyone who came through our doors!
A typical day at Weeds GG would be to open the store clean and stock everything, to count and balance our tills for the day and then open our doors to the thousands of friendly faces who were going to come through. Most of the day we would be sharing our extensive knowledge and helping our customers with their own individual needs and desires so they would leave happy and more educated then when they walked in. Most of our customers we got to know very well on a personal level which made for a quick and exciting work day, we got our breaks every two hours and our paid half hour lunch. We would clean the store, rearrange furniture due to regulation and had many fun projects that we completed as a team like our shoe box donation project or living plant wall and numerous social media promotions, we would have contests with our staff and customers and it was always a fun place to work with constant new and exciting ventures within it. The day would end with counting and balancing the tills as the last ofmore... our customers trickled out of the shop, we would clean the store and load everything on our shelves into our safe in the back for the next day! We would do weekly inventory and random selective inventory to maintain and ensure this was accurate, and we would order weekly based on this count. We also completed a massive quarterly inventory every quarter to ensure this further, and to track and document the progression of each location! We often got to try new products and help in finding them and bringing them in which our staff loved and helped them feel like a part of the industry and the company!
The only downside to this job is that due to this being a new developing industry their was often no direction from upper management, there were also many changes to what we were and were not allowed to do with the store. There are a few people higher up in the company who are not qualified for the positions that they have therefore causing unnecessary problems within the company! However do not take this the wrong way the company was and is in the process of fixing these problems and provided they stay open through legalization I do think these issues will be corrected!less
great new and exciting industry to work for, our store morale was amazing, very much room for growth within the company.

It was a great place to work fun everyone worked as a team but there was little to no support from head management in bc. It was nice to have benefits like health and dental but other wise that the only way they are there for their employees
