Engaging and career-advancing workplace - thought leaders in digital strategy
Account Executive (Current Employee) – Toronto, ON – 1 March 2016
Everyday you learn something new at Weber and the teams all work together to ensure you have the tools you need to do the best and most engaging work.
I learned how to start projects from tiny ideas and activate them with successfully both online and offline. Weber also taught me how to analyze, adjust, and recreate. Analytics is a large part of the work and is a driving force behind content ideation and creation.
The people work closely together and although there is a hierarchy, the work, projects and people feel as though they're on a lateral scale.
The hardest part of the job can be taking the the little details and developing large ideas. Other times, the hardest part is the amount of work - which is never a bad thing for a growing agency.
The most enjoyable part is the culture and the caliber of work. Everyone believes in the highest standard of quality and engaging work. It makes the culture fun and exciting as new ideas come about.
Meanest, most uptight people I've every worked with

The work projects were amazing. I got so sick with an undiagnosed illness that I ended up in hospital for three weeks. They fired me three days after I came back. I'm not saying the two are related, just stating the facts. Another fact -- the Human Rights Commission and Labour Board were very interested in my complaint -- perhaps they thought the two items were related. Horrible pay. Don't follow labour laws. Management did not care one iota about the staff, and the agency was all pretense and no substance. Countless hours of unpaid overtime.
Pros
the clients, the work, invitations to large galas and political events
