Horrible place to work!
General Labourer (Former Employee) –  Guelph, ON19 October 2016
This is by far the worst place to work in Guelph! The employers are crooks and there is absolutely NO advancements or raises. New hires are typically paid more than the employees who have been there for years longer. The work is average but expect to pick up everyone else's slack because employees only last a few weeks, if that. There are very few people who have been there more than a few months, let alone a few years. The turn-over averages around 4 new employees per month.
Pros
The employees are fun and make the day go by quicker, the benefits are pretty good and comparable to other factories.
Cons
Work load is not balanced among workers, no raises

Active work enviroment with good hours
General laborer (Current Employee) –  Guelph, ON15 August 2013
Warner custom coating is a powder coating factory, and as a general laborer I had many responsibilities throughout the day. My job was basically to load, run, and unload the paint line throughout the day, there were many different tasks which I had to complete in order to make this a successful operation. For load and unload I would need to use a crane to lift the heavier parts, and handle them with extreme care to prevent any damages to the part(s) and to reduce injury risk with other employee(s) as well as myself. While the parts were on the line I would perform various tasks to make sure when the parts are painted, they would meet a certain level of quality, sometimes I would need to take a compressed air hose to make sure there is no chemicals or water in the part, other times I would have to sand down certain parts to make sure when they are painted, the part comes to a smooth looking finish regardless of the color. The best part about this job is the co-workers, everyone you work with is unique and brings light and joy into the factory. Everyone is fun and easy to get along with, as well as hard working and helpful to each other in order to get the job done fast and well. This is good because the management is usually quite unorganized in the workplace, which reflects back on how smoothly the line is run. The hardest part of the job is simply the lifting, as it is a paint line some parts which one would lift could weigh as little as 10 lbs, or as much as 100 lbs, for most people it is not an easy job to start if they do not have much experience in this type of work,  more... as it is very labor intensive. There is no 'easy' part of the day, you can enjoy the job simply by the people who you work with, and if one can keep a level head and not let the disorganization bog them down, then Warner Custom coating is a good factory to apply to.  less
