Busy workplace
Pharmacist (Current Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 22 March 2023
+Good benefits, basic wages and annual bonus -Busy workplace for pharmacy, too many distractions. Short-staffed, no work-life balance, and awful hours.

Management cooperation is lacking
Relief Pharmacist (Current Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 12 July 2022
-need to truly understand others situation and accomodate as managers not just verbally mentioning it. -training is terrible - benefits are often unknown and never shared in a proper manner - culture of segregation, non-equality, imposing attitude by senior management, lack of appreciation and abundance of apprehension to new employees plaguing work environment - policy makers tone in terms or any errors are very shocking

Not a good place to work as a relief Pharmacist
Relief Pharmacist (Former Employee) - Various - 12 March 2023
This is undoubtedly the worst position you can work in this company. It is very unfortunate that the local store employees (be them from the front store or the pharmacy staff) do not consider relief pharmacists "real" pharmacists and are quite prejudiced about them all the time. The pharmacy managers though are often helpful to the relief pharmacists and try to support them but usually, the people you work with like pharmacy assistants do not properly help relief pharmacists as they are expected to and would not cooperate the same way they'd support their staff pharmacists. This creates a very uneasy and potentially risky workplace for relief pharmacists and they'd end up making errors that could turn the whole assignment from a bad experience to a worse situation, The front store management i.e duty managers and their "yellow vest" wearers aka ASMs can sometimes completely ignore the needs of relief pharmacists, for example, it would take them up to 15 minutes to provide pharmacy keyset for the shift (in one instance it took them 2 hours and two trips to the cash office for this), the ASMs will not bring the till or take the till back to cash office before and after the shift even after requesting them and sometimes you'd literally beg them to do that for you (which BTW they're supposed to do that as per policy) or help with transaction-related issues. The top pharmacy management (such as province directors) tries to assist relief pharmacists as much as they can but unfortunately, they can't really control store-to-store work ethics and relief pharmacists will often suffer. -
