Not enough associates for size of store, Customer are frustrated when they cant find help. Work in all areas even if you have no knowledge of department. Called to work on cash often but still expected to get your job done. Unflexible scheduling , mostly part time hrs.
safe to work there
always cutback on hours/poor management
I am working as a service writer in Walmart(part-time). it's my fourth month working there. I have opportunities to learn more about working aspects of tires and lubes. Also, I have opportunities to improve my communication skills
Everything else with Walmart is designed to get you two steps closer to the end of you career with them....if you last more the 10 yrs...they will push you out, and then tell you it's because the company is looking to go the other way, and you just don't make the cut.Its for the good of the business.
I would have stayed working for Wal-Mart if the wage was better. I enjoyed the people I work with and most of the management staff. After I was confronted on 3 separate occasions about advancement and it never happens well lets say it was time to move on and find some thing different after 10 years with the company
family based morals
must have an open avalibility
A piece of advice for anyone considering employment at Walmart: don't EVER suggest improvements to the way the company operates. To do so will be viewed as criticism and that is never tolerated. Everything is perfect at the world's largest retailer and your role is to do as you are told and smile. If you can do that and leave your brain at the door, you'll go far at Walmart.
Can't find employees Employees leaving unsatisfied working conditions Working conditions are harder because less staff the work is greater Company has poor training quality
Steady income job
Work getting harder and less staff no leadership
Working at Walmart gave me a great oppertunity to learn a lot of new things I did not work on the sales floor of walmart but the shop was part of the store. The best part of my job was the customer service and being involved with working in the shop it's self .
Community oriented, enjoyed working with some awesome people. I had the benefit of working in various positions during my almost 7 years with Walmart. I learned alot of different skills and learned I am very adaptable and dependable.
wage could be improved
From the moment you start work, your doing something. Which is pretty good when you first start out. Then it just becomes repetitive. The hardest part of the job is when managers and other associates dont want to hear what you have to say. I enjoy my job as a service writer. I like helping customers and helping in the shop, I like writing work orders and filing paper work and dealing with and potential conflicts
under staffed and not paid enough
