Dont waste your life away at this job, it is a very catty environment, work ethic is slack and no one finishes a duty before the end of their shift. Theft is never taken care of, they watch it walk out the door

There are plenty of chances to learn multiple department and there are extra training provided by the company such as first aid and power equipment training should you choose to take it. There are not very many opportunities to advance within the company and the environment can get very toxic within the co workers. Management is horrible at communicating with each-other or with the employees. Overall not a horrible place to work at.
Pros
Lots of learning oportunity
Cons
Lack of communication

This company sucks the life out of you. They give you the bear minimum . Cut your hrs and continue to cut your hrs. They focus more on the customer and not their employees. The customers are rude and always want something for free.

Worked there for for 3 Years .. Walmart gets rid of employees based off not hitting quotas.. they don’t add the time that it takes to deliver a product to the trailers.. 3000 boxes to throw on the line sounds a bit rediculous eh.. let them explain it to ya!! Become a numb number.. after 5 years you get 3 weeks vacation tho!!!
Pros
Girls work there
Cons
Your just a number

There are many employees the work at Walmart Logistics. And makes it virtually impossible to advance your skills. Walmart Logistics uses the ideology of 'first come first serve'. many employees have been there for more than twenty years, so no matter what skills you may possess, it's highly unlikely you'll receive a promotion, or even move to a different area within the warehouse. The pay is not bad, but working 10 hours a day (for four days) doesn't seem worth it when dealing with so many people and so much noise.
Pros
none
Cons
Long hours

Find a better place to work. This company is terrible and treats its employees like barn animals. The management is practically non existent, incompetent and totally disorganized. Management does nothing to help or make you feel appreciated. Walmart is constantly understaffed so you will be doing double the work for the same pay. They don't care about their employees one bit. They prey on desperate people. The pay is terrible. They blast terrible music all day long. Half the people who work there are insane and will drive you insane.

None
Cons
Slave Labor

Not only do they pile on a lot of work on a single individual but management has the gall to literally get angry at you if you don't get the job done quickly, especially if you are working on your own. If something breaks down, and gets damaged or damages property, regardless if it is unavoidable or accidental, expect to be written up. Don't always expect to learn anything either. They will literally make changes to how things are done and will expect you to literally learn on the fly. Computer based learning is nice, but the policies learned and the ones used are completely night and day. Management also, from my experience, has a tendency to gang up on individuals they don't like, finding any little thing they can to get you written up or terminated. Also areas of the store, especially the receiving bay, are often left a mess by other associates on other shifts, like evening, or over-nights. Quite often management will lay blame on the day associates, yet never bother to actually monitor the other associates working different times or even their janitorial staff on the matter. Also there isn't any growth in certain departments. Once you are there, don't expect to go anywhere unless it is getting fired. And don't expect any one working with you to actually go out of their way to lend a hand if the aid doesn't mutually benefit themselves. In the end, the benefits and bonuses they offer are not worth the pain you will go in getting them.
Pros
Computer based learning, benefits, yearly shareholder's cheques
Cons
Poor work environments, management, no growth, amount of work

Management is a joke, they don't take concerns seriously, if you can even get a hold of one to talk to. Your fellow associates are always unhappy, and severely cliquey. Not a fun place to be everyday.
Pros
discount on groceries
Cons
everything else

Typical day consisted of scanning and doing inventory for part of the day and unloading a truck the other part of the day. I learnt how to operate scanners and how to unload a truck in a timely manner while keeping the backroom tidy. Hardest part was having to deal with the poor management. Most enjoyable part was seeing all the progress I made in a day. Management was very poor and did not care about their employees.
Cons
Two-faced managers who didn't care

I was half trained, thrown onto the floor and told to "have at it". Most of my learning came from asking random questions of fellow associates. Yes, it was a steady job, and I never had to worry about getting laid off, but that's the only perk of the job.

The employees at WalMart make your day. There are many hard working and dedicated individuals there who help to encourage your job growth. There are many different departments and opportunities present to the right person.
