As much of the team working at Walmart are great and all work hard on what they need to do, But Walmart is a big company with a lot of rules. Be willing to talk your heart out to the next person that comes though your till hoping that he/she will walk away with a Walmart Master Card.

There is a large rate of turnover at this job which makes it hard to build a good community atmosphere. It is an easy job once you figure out what to do - since I received zero on the job training or guidance. There is a lot of theft and it feels very unsafe working alone at night being so close to Tent City.

Working for the company was difficult because management was lacking the needs of their employees. They treated employee's unfairly and were not competent with dealing with employee issues or concerns.

Started out as an ok place to work but bad management that doesn't seem to care much about employees or what they do. Huge lack of accountability and a lot of finger pointing for stuff not done or done correctly. A constant revolving door of employees and managers too. Lack of proper WOKING tools to do the job. The co-workers were great and felt like family.
Pros
Good co workers
Cons
too many to list

The job was rather stressful with unforgiving management staff. the associates were the best part of the job. the hardest part of the job was having to deal with the management staff.

Would not recommend to anyone as a first job as management leads by intimidation and does not follow their own company policies and procedures. Very Disappointing.

Worked part-time as a Pharmacy Assistant, hours are kept to a minimum and pay is not that great. Great coworkers, but terrible customers and pay system.

Its a minimum wage job. I've been working at for two years, it isn't a bad job but a lot of the employees don't care about the job and collect a pay check, it makes more work for those that do take it seriously.

Most people are great to work with and for. Customers can be difficult at times but it teaches you to become adaptable in all circumstances. Great place to work when stepping into the work field.

It’s a level entry job. You will constantly be on your feet, so expect to work hard. Absolutely great for experience as you can be cross trained anywhere though it may take time. You do not always need to wait six months and apply. Good communication and teamwork is very important in a fast paced environment. You may have your odd hours and may have a week that consists of closing shifts depending on where they really need you. If you do your best to help out your team and what is required of you, you will make many people happy. Just do your best, admit when you’ve messed up somewhere, and try to learn from it. Cheers!
Pros
One hour break during an 8 hour shift, included with two fifteen minutes
Cons
Rude customers, being on your own during busy times, freezing rain, people leaving gross items in carts

Basically just clean Walmart for 7 hours. When the main parts of the building are clean you can just take it slowly and clean slowly so you don't get bored.
Pros
Own pace
Cons
Night shift

Good and reliable. Some of the managers a tough to get along with at first but if you are friendly and can get along with others, they'll be no problem.

Not too much to say about it, management doesnt care about your life or your needs. Employees that dont do their fair share are never or rarely dealt with.
Pros
Some coworkers can be good like anywhere else
Cons
how you get treated as an employee by both customers and employer.

I understand the company has to make money, however they will work you until you drop. The wages are as low as they can make them. The mangement style is haphazard and favoritism is rampant.

A typical day at work was being on a till for 8 hours and enjoying the atmosphere. It was a busy work place but filled with happy customers and outgoing staff members. The management was great and understanding.
