They were overly strict with schedules and kept putting me in for days I'd already ask off for appointments. Some of the younger employees were rude and would be very sarcastic about things to the newer workers which was very uninviting. I told a manager but nothing was done

The company used to be really good in the last couple years it has changed and not for the better. It really depends on who your manager. the wage is not bad the hours are not very good if you're looking for full-time their full-time hours can be 28 hours a week that's it.. Don't get me wrong there's some really good management but they are becoming very scarce it seems customers are becoming a little more irate as time goes on but everybody is made for certain job. I don't regret working there for as long as I did but to be honest I'm glad I'm out . I would say if this is a job you truly love go for it if not find something you like for your own mind Spirit health
Pros
Great customers, Not bad pay, great for fundraising for the I.W.K red cross and others
Cons
Short staffed, management stressed out, fulltime is cut to 28hours for a long time, high turnover

Very faced paced environment. Some advancement opportunities. In Management, expect long hours and high expectations. Employee training programs available

I really enjoy working in customer service, the only thing with Walmart is the fact that it is really hard to get full time.

I would not suggest that this become a life long career, but it is a fun job depending on the management and staff. If you are good at dealing with people Walmart is the place for you. Customers are ruthless, The best part of working for walmart is the co-worker family you will gain. some of the best people work for walmart.
Pros
yearly bonus depending on store sales, they do staff appreciation week, and give an extra discount to staff every november.
Cons
you will have no work life balance, little opportunity for advancement, you will be given many promises of things to happen and it will never be followed through with, no communication between management.
