-corrupted - slow - no one knows how to do their jobs - scheduled till 10 because you're a student but being guilted into staying till 11because they have no one else to close electronics
Lots of employee spirit days, slow paced, nice breaks
Corrupt management, high turn around rate
I give myself 10/10 for honesty today during the survey here. The one thing was the backround check in my experience was mixed up. I have passed it Applying for OSL employment to be in my life.PASSThe Walmart backround check I found out the hard way as I missed a section dont do it on cell phone.FAILED NO WARNING
I enjoyed working for Walmart every shift I worked. I would work again for this company as enjoyed it so much. The only reason I quit was to be home to care for my very ill husband.
Meeting lots of friendly customers and working with great people
standing on my feet all day
Personally I prefer work that is fast paced and keeps me moving, at Walmart I found myself standing twiddling my thumbs doing nothing for hours. I enjoyed working there for the most part, it just wasn't what I enjoyed doing. But the hours were good and so was the pay, just not my type of work at the time.
Good pay, nice management, good benefits
Slow, and boring
While the walmart environment was a great spot for a student or part time employee, i cannot in good faith reccoment this company to any person that wants a long term place of work. the company tries to entice its employees, and offer them promises of advancement and opportunity. this is not the case, the store has a ceiling, and only a select few manage to breach it. associates are hired on as part timers, and given full time hours, only to be cut back every 9 weeks, to avoid giving them part time. useless employees move up into higher positions, because they know the right people and can play the social games, and the hard workers remain trapped in their menial positions because they are hard to replace and valuable.
