Working at Walmart was interesting because customers didn't really treat you with much respect because you work there, and that took a toll on some peoples mental health. Obviously that is not how everyone is, most are kind, but the negative ones come in so often, it's hard to want to stick around. I enjoyed what I was doing, but the customers were not fun to deal with when they think you're lesser then them.
Walmart has a very good environment for work. It is multicultural and people who work there are very friendly. The managers are also good and we have many events and parties at Walmart. More over, people who work as a part time can have benefit after one year, but there is just one problem at this company and it is paying low wages.
Working here as an associate is very fun. Doesn’t give you too much pressure, good benefits and wage. Managers are very kind and approachable, everyone is helpful and even those people in higher position are very kind and down to earth. You will never get a reason from quitting this job.
I've been with Walmart for two years and if you allow yourself, your coworkers truly do become like a second family. I worked in the inventory control department and we had a very set routine, going into work I always knew what I would be doing. However my reason for leaving is the demands and expectations are ridiculously high for employees they want you to work at the speed of 10 people and then will discipline you when you can't. Another major reason for my departure from this company is blatant racial discrimination within my store, I asked my manager if I could start at 7am instead of 6am and she said "no because your team has to start at 6am" which would be fair, except a coworker of mine who is the same age, we go to the exact same school, and we are in identical programs, both part-time employees, they are also fairly new to the job and I've been there for a long while, and that coworker is allowed to start at 7am and 8am because they asked for it, the only difference between us is our gender and our race and it was the blatant discrimination that led me to decide to leave this job. My store manager is of a different race than I, and although I'm not by any means a minority many people who are of the same race as I am have noticed that he will not acknowledge your presence, by that I mean say hello, ask about the task at hand, and he will go so far as to avoid looking at you if you're not of his race, he blatantly treats members of his own ethnicity far better than any other ethnicity in the store
hour long lunch
racial discrimination in my store, lack of recognition, lack of respect

Walmart is very flexible when it comes to balancing school or life schedules with work and are very understanding when unexpected personal situations arise. My coworkers were often in a good mood and we worked together happily and helped each other out when one was in need. Management was very firm but fair and always made sure that we were happy and always asked us to fill out performance surveys in order to make sure they were doing their very best. The hardest part of this job was the customers, to be honest. Some customers can be very rude and hurtful and that can be pretty difficult to deal with everyday, but the rude customers are far outweighed by the polite and happy customers.
Profit Sharing Opportunities, great work environment, flexible staff
Rude customers, monotonous tasks
binning over stock freight in the back room after it had been stocked on the sales floor. time management I got along great with my coworkers and bosses hardest part of my job was having to depend my time on how fast they were working the floor because that determines how fast its coming back to me to get it put away. I worked with fun people, respect amongst the crew. the most enjoyable part of my job was at the end of every shift they expressed gratitude and appreciation to all of us.
Walmart was a great place to work, there was a good team atmosphere and management was great to deal with which made it a very low stress place to work. The hardest part of the job was getting used to working the overnight shift. The most enjoyable part of the job was at the end of shift when everything was up and looking great and the shelves were all full again
great team atmosphere
low paying salaries
I will share my opinion of Walmart with job interviewer! Overall my experience there has been very educational and positive.
I'll admit, I had a lot of fun working here. I started at the front tills, and was transferred to Electronics, where everyone was friendly and immediately hit it off with all the staff members. We always had fun, laughs, while keeping it at a professional level. We had an amazing manager, who always managed to make things happen. Even when I was transferred to Sport, and went overnights, all managers were amazing. Hardest part of the job was... well for me it was overnights. Everything else was a piece of cake, and I enjoyed working there!
Free food, excellent managers, friendly staff
