This was a well managed and well organized Wal-Mart. As a first job it was a good introduction to the work force. Management I always felt was supportive for the most part and would help employees. They worked well to maintain employee morale and kept a far more positive feeling for many of their employees despite being Walmart and it having its rather poor reputation.
The hardest part of this job is dealing with the management incompetence. The dauphin store has managers barely qualified to work as associates let alone assistant managers. The pay is a joke and the raises are usually ten cents. What would really help walmart is if they unionized atleast then the associates would have a voice.
Pay management raises the way you are treated whats required for such little pay
i work for Walmart for 2 years. i keep safe and clean environment for customer everyday. i check food temperature in every single hours. Walmart have thousand of policies for safety, and customer service, management skills. i read and follow, i can learn how to do professional job. co-worker just like my family member, we talk and play, we do a good job.if Walmart can pay higher salary, that would be perfect.
safe working environment, nice co-worker and manager

The job is good. you get an empolyee discount after 3 months and there are oportunities for advancment however they are far and few inbetween. the job itself is either super fast-paced or drop dead slow, which at time can make for a difficult shift. the hours are somewhat irrgular for part time empolyees, however they do start to some a general pattern in full time positions.
irregular shift work
