good place to work

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Good place to work . they made some corporate changes ,the only reason i left was they did not require high level sale reps . they have many different branches of sales and i could not get into the higher level unless they had a position .

Work life balance with no room for advancement

Will be told what you want to hear to get you through the door with no follow through. Has no organizational skills. Lower management is new to positions and it shows. Flexible schedule. The negative reputation is warranted.

Pros

short days

Cons

no room for advancement

Great group of to work for, not much work

When I started there was lots of work for everybody, however Wajax does not have a good name for themselves and when the economy started going downhill there was hardly any work for anybody. As a mechanic starting out it made it hard to gain experience.

Pros

great life/ work balance

Cons

slow shop

Great learning atmosphere

At Wajax Power Systems, it was a great learning place for an apprentice with some knowledge in the 18-Wheeler world. So many new parts compared to the automotive world I know.

Pros

Great team.

Cons

Not enough work.

Rewarding and challenging career

Submitting warranty claims. Never ending learning experience. Most enjoyable was dealing with customers and co-workers. Hardest part was advising customers when claims do not pay as its money out of their pocket.

Pros

Benefits, great hours

Cons

Sometimes had to deal with upset customers

Decent Company to work for

Woking for Wajax expressed many challenges. Product and product support was not strong resulting in the company falling behind in its industry. Seemed to be a lot of advisor's from outside the branches telling instead of advising, leaving management from all levels in different directions. Although they seem to have the mindset to change these battles, they are not all on the same page so the direction continues to be a winding road they seem to end up back where they started. Human Resources were not always helpful, offered little support and were often difficult to get a hold of when needed to help change the often out of control behaviour. The most enjoyable part of working for them was, there was a few good co-workers that really wanted to help get things on the right track. Hours and salary were great.

Pros

great hours, salary and work/life balance

Cons

many struggles within.
