Educational Assistant in Brantford, ON
on 30 September 2021
Rewarding but demanding career!
As a supply who lived close I worked a lot of hours, getting exposure to several different classrooms and environments. I'm glad I worked there for the experience but it was too much of a stretch for me from the fun Travel Industry which is my first Diploma to working in a whole school with people with multiple conditions. Working at this school is not for everyone!

Not a boring place to work!
As a supply I never knew what I would be doing next from making toast or breakfast in the dorm to helping with orientation of a neighborhood. You could never get bored of this job as daily you were always doing something different.

Helpful and understanding
Not technically employed. I volunteered for community service hours. All staff were helpful, understanding, reasonable, provided great training, and We're very laid back but also did not expect little of me for having a disability.
Maintenance Worker in Brantford, ON

Productive and well organized
I found that while working at my own high school it was quite pleasant to see the inner workings. However they are short staffed with maintenance and are far less productive and organize the normal.
