VW Canada is a highly competitive company and has high expectations of their employees. The work is demanding yet the office environment is collaborative and inclusive. It is the best company that I have ever worked for.
Work life balance is possible
There isn't proper training i have been with volkswagen for almost two years the flat rate technicians are too busy trying to make a living to teach anyone . For an hourly person like my self i find my self cleaning and doing tire swaps and oil changes more than anything else and not really learning how to fix cars . I do more stupid things away from vehicles instead of learning
Co workers are friendly work environment is ok
Low wage, under appreciated, no proper training, flat rate technicians complain to much, warranty times are terrible
Management is terrible in the service department..either on vacation or catching up with buddies in office, very discouraging to staff when mngr does no work, service manager overweight, his slack and lazy behaviour plays out into the workforce staff are like hawks watching and waiting to catch you do anything so they can tell on you and get closer with management , dog eat dog mentality no teamwork done here, staff are often bullies to other staff they don’t like (hiding their personal belonging, making fun of you etc.) revolving door of staff everybody’s computer screen are usually browsing indeed! They will hire anybody off the street, no teeth, bad hygiene, poor communicators, trailer trash. This company treated the covid 19 layoffs like garbage promised to stay in touch, never did. If you get in with the inner circle you can’t do any wrong in there eyes, that’s if you get in (bms gms gsms) the more work you put out the less you get in return, always a fight to get payed properly. Forced to do 7 different jobs with basically minimum wage. Just overall embarrassing to call an establishment.
Food truck once a year
Je ne peux pas recommander cet employeur. Le milieux de travail est compétitif entre les employés et stressant. On privilégie certains employés sans fondement au détriment des autres. Culture de favoritisme.
Plan d 'achat d'actions corporatif.
Travail de soir fréquent.
They fire you the second they find a friend or family to fill your shoes. Anything they do wrong, they will take extensive measures to hide it. They will blame you for everything within reason. Accusing you of stealing, because someone was on the phone and communication is off. Yell at you if you forget a peice of paper even for a part that's 5$
Weekend lunches. Various place.
Staff - very sexist.
Great dealership to work for. Knowledgable techs and good pay scale. Great management at that time, unsure of how it is now. I learned a great deal of customer service skills as well as automotive knowledge. Culture was good, except for a few bad apples that just made certain processes unnecessary. Hardest part of the job was not having enough advisors for the amount of appointments during busy periods. Most enjoyable part was the fun work environment.
Great co-workers, fun outings, nice facilities
Location, not very busy
I worked as a technician for seven months they were cheating technicians out of money and said they didn’t know how flat rate worked and all they cared about was money not the safety of the used cars and while I was there a long term employee quit they didn’t even try to keep him they didn’t even him any respect just let him go and he even worked for his 2 weeks notice they didn’t appreciate him even though he worked there for 25 years
4 day on 3 off
Do not care about employees only money

Great product and opportunity to earn big money. Management is not as hands on as they should be to support their sales team. Truth is in all dealerships you are only as good as your lastsale
Fun & great products
Management could be more supportive
Poor training and lack of genuine interest from sales and service managers. Lack of skill and experience on their behalf leads to many disgruntled and dissatisfied clients. Sales process is antiquated and General Manager is Aloof and completely removed from advancing and fine tuning the overall mechanics of a dealership. Favouritism at every corner, Glaring lack of professionalism!
Fun within the team, great team work, great culture, management at Volkswagen is a huge issue to discuss specially new management coming from the United States.
The sky is the limit at Volkswagen. How hard you want to work or how much you put in is what you can get out. Great product and will continue this trend for a very long time. One of the leaders in the automotive industry. Best days of my life was when I was with the company.
old building that was falling apart, broken and old shop equipment, leaking sewage from piping/drainage above parts, service reception areas which caused staining on walls and floors, hr department is unresponsive,
Busy environment to work in The work itself was pleasant Management kept you informed on new developments on an on-going basis Great food in the cafeteria
Free lunches and Group Gatherings
Too much office drama and people bad mouthing each other
