Préposé à la réglementation environnementale (Former Employee) – Gatineau, QC – 25 September 2019
Well paid No stress what so ever Short work schedules Poor management Ruled by union Bunch of lazy employees Way too many employees for the work being done Way too many managers for the amount of employees
Lifeguard (Current Employee) – Gatineau – 2 January 2019
Definitely nice to come in and not have to think, only do. Very hands on, variable hours you could easily squeeze in between classes. A bit hard to maintain a good amount of hours given the competition for shifts.
Lifesaving Instructor (Former Employee) – Ottawa – 2 January 2019
Flexible hours, not bad management, good environment if one likes to feel involved in the community and work with children. However expectations were high, some tasks were to be done outside of actual hours, accounting up to 45 min per shift.
Business permit Inspector/Technician (Current Employee) – Gatineau, QC – 28 August 2013
Working for the city gives a good sense of job security. The pay is good and the 35hr work week leaves more time for personal affairs. Retirement benefits are trough the roof! vacation time is short at first, but over the years will rise up to 7 weeks.
Work hour can be flexible, but the amount cannot change (no part-time opportunities).
