I’m not mad about it!
I enjoyed my time at Vecova. Most of these negative reviews feel pretty person specific to me… I think it really depends on who you have as a team lead and manager. Some put a big focus on staff growth and wellbeing, and others just haven’t been given clear expectation on what leading people should look like. My experience has been that I was always matched with leaders who were willing to help me learn and grow, but I know that’s not the case for everyone. I honestly think the issues come from the top down, and that most of our team leaders are doing their best to look out for us.Overall, Vecova genuinely is a good place to work. The clients are great and there are opportunities for growth if you put yourself out there. Whether or not you move up within the agency, you’ll learn a lot in whatever position you’re in.

Toxic Work Culture
Understaffed. Underpaid. Toxic work environments. Troublesome staff with no consequences. Competent and capable staff are overloaded and under appreciated. Long term deserving employees that should be promoted from within are constantly over looked and external hires brought in with little to no capacity for the work and don’t last long. It’s about who you know if you want to move up. You’re encouraged to advocate for the clients. But the minute you voice your opinion you have a target on your back for speaking up and shining light on issues. Sure this organizations pays a smidge more. But at the sacrifice of your own mental health, it’s not worth it.

A very toxic company to work for, the worst in my entire experience working in four continents.
The company doesn’t believe in front line staff, they think front line are dumb, the Team Leads, HR and the management in general are bullies, a company that doesn’t believe in their front line work force is not a good one to work for. Even when you have severe staff shortage in front line, they will employ a team lead or manager, it shows where their emphasis is on. Least inclusive company I have ever work for, they pretend to be inclusive but in reality they are far from one. It’s a highly toxic company, it’s better to take far less money to work for a more inclusive and less toxic company than this company. If you care about your mental health, don’t even come close to this company.

Awful Work Environment.
Consumers (clients/people with disabilities) are usually great. Management is not. When you voice concerns nobody cares or does anything about it. Nothing happens when you bring a complaint forward about your Team Lead. They don't care to improve. They don't care if you were wronged. They don't want to fix it or make it right. No apologies given. They don't REALLY want your input; its all an act, surveys or questionairres are not taken seriously. I can't wait to leave this job. I feel bad for the consumers cos good, honest people are forced to leave due to their convictions. Too bad! Actively looking for a place that values its front-line employees and acts with honesty and integrity. You won't find that here.
