Don't expect them to follow labour laws
Office Manager (Former Employee) –  Abbotsford, BC1 December 2018
No overtime pay for managers just the hours
Managers are not real managers as they have no authority.
Work 2 hrs on a Saturday mandatory and only get paid for 2 hrs.
Work through lunch but dont get paid for that time
No wage increase without a fight
Worked 9 hours a day for 5 days a week and not a penny in overtime.
Cut off medical benefits to staff the day they gave notice.
Mass exodus of long time staff in the last 2 -3 years.
They will lie cheat and steal to get what they want. They expect max loyalty from staff and give zero in return.
Pros
You can do zero work and get promoted and they will love you
Cons
You can have work ethic and they will treat you like garbage

Official response from Valley Driving School
3 December 2018

Valley Driving School prides itself on being a great place to work. We live this every day through our owner and General Manager who has a 35 year history of listening to his employees. It's sad to hear that a past employee did not previously come forward and give us a chance to address issues prior to their departure. Our open door policy encourages staff to communicate with co-workers and leadership openly and honestly.

Any successful business would not flourish by promoting people that do "zero work". As our company continues to grow, so do our employees. We encourage growth from within and many employees have found success within the company in new and exciting roles.
