It was perfect except for the low wage. The job included a lot of freedom and responsibility which is my perfect job structure. This was one of my favourite jobs.

Did not have good experience working there all those years. No chance to improve or get other job if apply except if you do not have connection or related to somebody on higher position. Applied over hundred times in 10 years but nothing.
Pros
Sometimes free lunch and coffee and donought.
Cons
Long hours

A Good place to work while also developing your skills. Colleagues are friendly and supportive. Jobs may be demanding at times but you have what is required to succeed.

Chill if you enjoy research. Flexible working hours. Campus is really nice. Good vibe between coworkers. Decent summer job. Definitely recommend to other students.

The UofS is struggling with financial issues and management leadership that has decreased the ability of employees to remain effective. There is no longer a clear culture of understanding roles. It's still a beautiful campus with good benefits.

The pay is good, management is good. Hours are only during the day and evening. The only issue is that if you have a class during the day then it can be hard to work there.

Overall, good job. Not many opportunities for advancement or good benefits, and sometimes working with others in the Department was challenging. Would recommend however.

Hard working community. Long term conditions unknown as I work as a contractor. The work requires an interesting integration of stakeholders, students and practitioners.

There are good opportunities for current students to gain research experience working with their professors and the pay is pretty good, too. The work can be physically demanding at times, but it depends on the area of research you work in.

-Large work Hierarchy . -Admin support high level, -Levels of Management -Low salary The work environment is a nice community base, working on indigenizing. But as a aboriginal employee your meant to feel like its not a right but a privilege to be employed by the university.

Engineering requires a tremendous amount of time and effort. This greatly affects work life balance. Additionally, you have to pay to be in school, so that is a definite con.
Pros
Getting a Degree
Cons
Long Hours, Expensive

Vibrant workplace. Great benefits. Lots of politics and mismanagement. Not as diverse as it should be. Progress is difficult for young "non-local" professionals without "connections".
Pros
Benefits
Cons
Traditional hierarchical management

Highly corrupted Senior Administration. Lots of politics. Most of the faculty members are there to pursue their salary. I do not perceived any ethical maturity from most of the faculty members.

This used to be a great place to work however years of management upheaval, provincial budget cuts and an ill-prepared shift in the direction of the institution has taken its toll. It will be years before the recent turmoil settles (assuming future decisions are made with more forethought). This is not a well-supported and high-performing place to be at the moment. The post-secondary sector has always been unique, but those looking to join to this institution from private industry should do so with eyes wide open.
Pros
Great benefits
Cons
Scattershot management

There is a not a better place to be in Canada if you want to work/study Computer Science. The facilities are modern and the instructors/staff are some of the most intelligent people you will ever come across.
Pros
Good salary, modern facilities, amazing campus, great camaraderie
Cons
Can be difficult to strike work-life balance

i have been an RA for two years and its been an adventure the only problem is that the pay is low compare to the work you do. i believe that if the pay is increased the job will be worth going for.

It is a good place, although my job is only on a winter term basis but if you were to get employment in another area there are lots of opportunity to grow. They pay good living wages and offer lots of support. I mark other students assignments so my work is done from home on my computer.

This a good place for Undergrads or graduate students to make a bit of extra money. It allows you to tackle some challenges you may not have confronted before.
