Reviews about Pay & benefits for Contract Administrator at United States Department Of Defense
Exciting experience
Contract Administrator (Former Employee) - Goleta, CA - 22 June 2017
This was the best job in the world.
I received adequate training and also I have my medical benefits.
I worked in EEO and then became the Head of the Program with the Navy and in turn received the honor of being Head of a department for the Department of Defense's personnel and received the honor of the Upward Mobility Program to become a Contract Negotiator and then a Contract Administrator. My career with the Government is too lengthy to write.

United States Department Of Defense is a politically connected, very large organization.
Contract Administrator (Current Employee) - Olrando, Florida - 27 November 2018
United States Department Of Defense has obvious career benefits but does not always share equal opportunities for all employees. It is a highly regulated with numerous protocols required for online applications. On the upside, a good retirement initiated at hiring will provide a very solid and possibly million dollar IRA.
Not for everybody as with any profession and age discrimination is a reality.
Pros
Good for a family in the long term.
Cons
Slogans don't provide protection from age discrimination; management somewhat unprofessional.
