Maintenance and Production Supervisor (Current Employee) – Simcoe, ON – 6 June 2018
Unilever is a very busy work environment. It's demanding and requires long hours. The pay and benefits are good. There are very good dedicated long term employees but turn over is very high with the seasonal population
Associate Finance Manager (Current Employee) – Toronto, ON – 3 June 2018
Great place to work, with a great culture and great products. However, not much opportunity for advancement within Finance if you are not open to positions outside Canada, especially if you wish to reach a manager-level position.
Unilever is generally a generous company that provides diverse opportunities to employees of different cultures.
Masterdata Management Assistant Manager (Former Employee) – National Capital Region – 2 June 2018
The company works on a culturally diverse environment where equality among its talents is of the highest standards. Safety of the employees is also a top priority for the organization. In terms of people development, trainings and projects are strategically made available which are conducive for the talents to learn and adapt and help them develop their skills.
In-Store Manager (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 18 May 2018
Unilever is a platform to learn and interact. If one wants to learn new skills and experiences it can be the best place to start. Listed as one of the best-performing companies, having Unilever on your resume can give your career boost. The best part of your job would be the culture that Unilever provides, it has an open environment where you can interact freely with your peers and seniors. In my stay with Unilever, I learned important management skills like how to manage brands, key accounts, events, and activations.
conducive environment for administrative and factory activities with a good working culture
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) – TEMA – 26 April 2018
I had the opportunity to learn how to use the computer to record sales, data input, data analysis and also the ability to send formal letters to heads, colleagues and clients for effectiveness and efficiency. due the the serene environment provided I could work long hours with little or no supervision. The hardest part of the job was when the organisational goal was not achieved within the stipulated time and had to work during holidays to meet up the goal. The fun part of the work is end of season party with colleagues and family.
welfare of workers was the top most priority
work was always done with all the potentials in the employee
General Labourer (Former Employee) – Ontario – 4 March 2018
Just bought the Dove advanced care ant i- perspirant. Worst anti-perspirant ever!!!!! I'm not kidding you; within a half an hour, I had BO. I kept trying it for a few days just to make sure and it's def a problem. Worse than when I don't even put it on!

Machine Operator (Current Employee) – Simcoe, ON – 10 February 2018
Not enough pay for the work you do. HR is terrible and your pay cheque is always wrong. No direction from supervisors. They have new people training new people and the people who have been there for her are miserable and hate life!
Machine Operator (Current Employee) – Simcoe, ON – 23 January 2018
Overall it is a very good place to work other than the lack of communication and bumps and snags with management. There are often times when management will fail to pass a long infomation to employees that is needed to do their jobs and therefor the job itself will suffer.
Packager (Former Employee) – Simcoe, ON – 31 December 2017
I enjoyed working here. The job can be strenuous if you do not do proper stretches , or eat and sleep properly. Because of the 8-10 hour shifts that you would work 5 days a week you have to be prepared for the changes in your daily routine. The work environment was very clean and proper. The sanitation staff do a very great job of keeping this workplace clean and safe for the workers and for the people who may buy frozen treats from this company. If something were to break down, they would put you on paid break until the issue was solved .The management is always on top of things and they do treat all staff with respect and are keen on helping everyone. The most enjoyable part, great hours and pay, and Free ice cream on breaks !
Purchasing Agent, Supply Chain (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 14 December 2017
Constant lay-offs and outsourcing and high rotation. May worked like public employees, looking at the clock, more a job than a career. I stayed because of my boss, not so much the company, culture or work. No leadership; we were on our own.
They paid me very well for being at various junior levels.
never percieved a unifying work or company culture (everyone was in their own world)
Great work culture with a core value that enriches lives
HR Specialist (Current Employee) – Toronto, ON – 7 December 2017
The culture is a fun filled CPG type of company. The ability to work on global teams in the comfort of your own home is truly second to none. You get exposed to all the different facets and teams of a global company with over 170,000 employees and there is always something new and exciting going on. Never a dull moment!
if you have a passion about sustainable living, then the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan is at the heart of the core values and what makes Unilever strong.
