About Unbounce

Our Story

The Unbounce Origin Story It’s basically the same as Wolverine’s … only with less yellow spandex. The first to market, Unbounce started in 2009 when “landing pages” were little more than a buzzword. Rick Perreault, frustrated waiting on developers for every new campaign, set out to create a better experience for marketers. Rick joined forces with Carter Gilchrist, Oli Gardner, Carl Schmidt, Justin Stacey, and Jason Murphy to bootstrap Unbounce out of a dark, 500-square-foot room in Gastown, Vancouver. In early days, they lived off baloney sandwiches and beer from the pub downstairs. (Doctors agree—this diet was a mistake.)

Our Team

Powered by a Team That Dreams Big Today, Unbounce is the world’s leading landing page platform with a workplace of over 175 people who really, truly care about one another and 20 very good office dogs. As one of Canada’s fastest-growing tech companies, with offices in both Vancouver and Berlin, we’ve powered over half a billion conversions to date for our customers worldwide.

Core Values

With Core Values That Are Uniquely Unbounce We have five core values that guide our actions and culture at Unbounce. Here are the not-so-secret ingredients that help us make magic happen. Courage From getting on stage to speak in front of 1,000 other marketers, to leading a project for the very first time—every Unbouncer takes bold risks in pursuit of growth and opportunity. Ambition Whether we’re going after our big hairy audacious goals, or just competing in a friendly tournament of Mario Kart—we are always driven to achieve our full potential. Being Real If one of us gives you the world’s most enthusiastic high-five, you’ll know that you deserve it. We do what we say and are open about what we do. Empathy We don’t just send pizza to hungry marketers who have to work late. We have deep compassion and respect for all of our teammates, partners, and customers. Diversity Many different backgrounds and experiences make up the Unbounce team. We enrich our work with diverse perspectives to help us make better decisions and learn from one another.

Working at Unbounce

We often say WYSIWYG (“What You See Is What You Get”) to describe our landing page builder, but the same is true of our workplace culture. We’re unabashedly a Vancouver company with #westcoast vibes, which means we take our work-life balance seriously (and sometimes wear flip-flops to the office). Generous vacation policies, professional development budgets for every employee, and weekly social events help make Unbounce the type of place you want to tell your friends about.

Making a Social Impact

Since 2015, Unbounce has donated more than $100,000 to charities and non-profits. We believe everyone deserves to be represented with an equal voice, which is why we provide ongoing support to programs like Shine Bootcamp, Vancouver Pride Society, PeaceGeeks, and Canada Learning Code. We also partner with like-minded companies to shine a spotlight on issues that are important to our team. Together, Unbounce and its employees have founded and co-organized events such as TechPong, Brands for Better, and the BC Tech Collective to help foster a stronger community of giving back in our city.
