Low pay, long hours to make any decent money

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Gotta work 10 hour days 7 days a week to make a decent paycheck. Not worth it, only if absolutely needed. Look for other employment in the meantime as well.

Limited compensation

Depending on your location, it can be difficult to receive orders with a good compensation in comparison with the mileage. The estimated tip is included in the amount you could earn when you receive a new order, and that can be rewarding, but keep in mind the client can decide to chance their tip amount at any time.

Fun and self time management

it is a Self time management employment. you can work according to your own time. you can get online whenever you feel like to working and also get offline when you think you are done for the day. it is very flexible. but the wages is a bit lower than expected.

Really bad pay

Super low income with the maintenance of the vehicle, not worth to work in but if you’re in downtown with a bike, it’s something that you should consider.

Pay is low

very tiring, you need to be in your car all day to make some decent money...but if you like driving, it is a different story. sometimes people tip bait you and you pretty much make $3 a trip

Flexible

Long hours and really need to work hard to make money. You get used to it though. Flexible hours. Work when you want and where you wantNo management or boss

Ok

Base pay is too low. Only way to do well is through tips. Not the greatest job by any stretch. I would only recommend if you really need work. Mehhhhh.

Support lacks the tools to assist drivers

It takes a long time to get help and when finally received it is a very poor experience. I hoped as a cornershop driver that once Uber acquired them they would be a formidable company to work for, but apparently Uber just cared about eliminating the competition.

Pros

If lucky and willing to put in the long hours pay is ok

Cons

Poor management that does not take feedback seriously and implement improvements

Job can be expensive on gas until you learn the best hours to work.

Very variable earnings, and hard on your car. You need to be willing to put in many hours sitting in your car to earn very much. You do get to find new restaurants though.

Go get a real job

You will enjoy it for a little while and then you will have car issues and then you will realize you can’t even make enough money to be stable and you will wish you had gotten a more standard job many months before instead of going down this path. You’ve been warned.

Pros

Make your own hours

Cons

Can’t make enough to justify the expenses on has and repair/maintenance

Aucune transparence

Completement livré à nous même compensation ridicule manque de transparence, la liste est longue.Ils ont aussi discrètement réduit le rayon de livraison à pieds, revenant à le supprimer.

Horrible pay , $10 for 1 hour of work for groceries , with your own car

$10 for grocery delivery estimated 1 hr 7 mins , $3 for a food delivery that can take 30mins , it's less than half the minimum wage , plus you're using your own car, that's right. The money offered for these deliveries barely covers the gas cost. Absolutely revolting. worked 5 hours, made $27

Work when you want to

The pay is low. This disadvantage is offset by the freedom you have in setting your own hours. You can also work as much or as little as you want. It’s also an easy job to perform with few responsibilities.

Easy

Very easy job. You can do it with a bike a car or just walking. Somedays you don’t get a lot of orders. If you don’t get enough orders you are just wasting your time.

Exciting

What is the best part of working at the company? You’re your own boss. You work when you want and you pick the deliveries that you want. Some weeks they have special bonuses to get you motivated to hit the road. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Most stressful part of the job would be arriving at the restaurant, and the food is not ready to go.What is the work environment and culture like at the company? You use your own car. So my work environment is awesome. What is a typical day like for you at the company?I leave my house and I turn on the driver app. I’ll shortly receive a message about a delivery and I accept if the price is fair for me. I go to the restaurant, I pick up the food and I deliver it to the customer. It’s all navigate for you through the app. Sometimes we can have more than one delivery at the same time. Tips are great!

When its good its good, when its bad its bad. Uber Eats is DEAD

Uber eats was good when I started out in 2022, but now its dead. Misclassification of workers as independent contractors (when they are employees), allows Uber to exploit its workers. Now you cant make a living or even justify a 'side hustle' doing UE. Not worth it until some legal/union protections come into play

Very low pay and not enough orders

The job itself is fine, and if I was in a bigger city, I can see how you could make enough to survive. But here in Moncton there's not enough people ordering and too many drivers. Not worth the wear on your vehicle honestly.

Pros

Be your own boss

Cons

poor pay, sitting around waiting for orders a lot

When is busy it's great... But it is not reliable

When you get enough orders to keep moving, it's decent money. But too often I'm sitting in a parking lot somewhere waiting for an order. Great flexibility but wouldn't want this to be my only source of income
