Long hours

You're self employed

If you're willing to commit 10+hours a day, have a reallyreliable andeconomic car.It might be worth it!The plus is that you set your own hours and take a vacation when you want.

Do not care about the drivers.

Stay away! Terrible company! Company has a rating system that is a he said she said. No support for a driver who encounters rude customers who exhibit bad behaviour in your car.

room to improve

I loved driving my Cadillac ATS and I love to chat and visit with people so driving for Uber seemed like a natural part time job fit.I had a good time there, but the company doesn't care about it's drivers, as they have plenty of them. It's hard to get any questions answered, or problems with the app solved, unless you travel all the way to Toronto and talk to them in person. They repeatedly reset my driver id and forced me to rein put the information and do new background checks every time, which was annoying and a pain, and I eventually got sick of the hassle when someone ended up puking in my car.It was ok, but they have issues to work on.

wear n tear on vehicle, bad riders that spill in your car

It's not worth it - the pay is terrible

When you factor in gas, repairs and depreciation of your vehicle you are basically working for less than minimum wage and in some cases for free. There are times you can sit for 2 hours and make NOTHING! Some customers treat you like you're a low level person or like garbage. Some are insulting. Some are terrible at giving you their location or don't place the arrow in the right place on their GPS. Sometimes they make the pickup point a place you can't stop at and you have to go around the block and try again. Some keep you waiting for 10 minutes and get mad if you drive off. Sometimes you can drive 15 minutes or more to get to a location and they cancel just as you get there. Then you have to drive back because they are in an area where there are rarely trips. You just burned a lot of gas and your time for nothing. Sometimes people want to get food at a drive-through and you make almost nothing in waiting time. I have more but you get the picture. DO NOT WORK FOR UBER unless you are bored with your life and just want to get out to talk to people. The economics of being a driver do not made sense.

Flexibility to work when you want

Low pay, high expenses, unreasonable customers

Do you think you are making money?

This company is using their drivers, by cutting around %42 of the charges!!!If you made $1000 they will take around $440 and don't forgetyour car and the high mileageon it. While, if you drove for another company it is only 350 per week no mor charges.

Don't deal with you as human being

Every few month Uber increases their cut. They lie about how much the customer pays for rides versus how much the driver makes and pockets the extra money probably in an offshore bank account and laundered. As cost of living increases Uber decreases their fares like they're a charity

Its a fun Job

Its Fun Job for extra money. I wouldnt raise a family with it or anything like that. Lately the gas prices are eating profits. You meet lots of cool people, but you must deal with the rude ones also.

Depends on location and gas prices

You can make lots of money on your time provided your are in a densely populated location and the gas prices are not high. I met many interesting people from all over the world. Great job if you're ambitious

Work on your own schedule. Fun. Meet lots of interesting people. Adventurous

Lots of competition in some areas. Sometimes you don't get enough calls

Not too bad, you work on your own time

Flexible hours, you work on your own time. No guaranteed salary and no benefits for sure. Basically, you make minimum wage after all the expenses but you're your own boss and you go online/offline whenever you like.
