Courier (Former Employee) – Edmonton, AB – 17 January 2018
Dont work here, chances are this posting is misleading. They will hire you and let you go without any warning before your 90 day probation because all they care about is cutting costs. They dont give proper training and expect you to do the job efficiently, management is terrible.
Air Sort & Safety Board Member (Former Employee) – Concord, ON – 17 January 2018
UPS is a competitive employer that takes care of their employees. There is a lot of room for growth within this company and many different areas of advancement. UPS is also unionized and offers better benefits and pay to employees than similar positions in other companies.
Assistant Helper (Former Employee) – Brampton, ON – 7 January 2018
My experience working with UPS Canada was really amazing and fulfilling one. A typical day at UPS would begin in the morning around ten with sorting of the shipments for the same neighborhood and in the sector. It was fun and amazing work when we delivered at the sorted addresses all together in a fast paced environment.
Worst management you will ever encounter unless you are sucker!
Markham - Warehouse Associate (Current Employee) – Markham, ON – 20 December 2017
Management is the worst you will every encounter. They only see what they want to see and promote who they want to promote. Unethical practices by management is very normal. Personnel get promoted without job postings, or without requirements met for the position. Great place for suckers!
Hardest part working at this place is at -30 C conditions for the same exact pay as the person walking around and counting inventory. That really sucks.
Most of colleagues are nice but very few are hypocrites, particularly one lead hand. These hypocrites are very friendly but they stab you at the back by gossiping to everyone including management. Very hard to identify these culprits.
Pick, pack and ship is normal process at work except few areas that needs heavy lifting of packages
The most important thing I learned here is how valuable the product is for the patient and the need to ship out by the end of the day. Due to some of the hard working individuals, UPS SCS is still holding the client. Because of these individuals you feel happy you are not alone.
Finally not recommended to work at this location due to two supervisors and one lead hand. Manager changed 6 months back and nothing much changed.
Nice environment, great client, some good coworkers. Favoritism pays a lot.
Worst management you will ever encounter, pay sucks, hardworking not recognized, punishment program in place if you don't obey management.
As a driver it's a well paid stressful job. You leave the building with a truck literally packed to the gills with parcels and some how have to make it back to the building in time to drop off your express packages in order for them to reach the airport in time. All the while having no where to go to the toilet. Say goodbye to your social life!
Status Caller (Current Employee) – Fredericton, NB – 5 December 2017
I have never worked for a company that treated their employees so badly. They come first. Management is very inconsiderate. Don't plan on working here and having a work-life balance, especially during Christmas time.
FULL TIME PRELOAD SUPERVISOR (Former Employee) – Edmonton, AB – 4 December 2017
As a preloader you come into work and start working, packages come down the belt and you need to load the packages on to your cars in a set order for the drivers day. It is very fast paced and if you don't learn the methods it is very difficult. If you do learn the job it is incredibly easy and rewarding. It is physical as well and will make you feel you are at the gym everyday.
Office Administrator (PT)] United Postal Services (Current Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 28 November 2017
a very good company to work for but very hard to get a full time employment. Safety is a top priority and that's great for UPS employees. The company allows employees to buy shares and that's great for investments. Also, UPS provides a competitive benefit package for its employees and their family.
310T Mechanic (Current Employee) – Vaughan, ON – 12 November 2017
Lol this place is a joke Pay is 28 dallors to start Management could not manage fixing a bicycle let alone a car or truck . Supervisors and managers don't care at all about workers , all they care about is over working employees, to get there bonuses . As a mechanic you start from 830 pm to 5 am , so say good bye to your family! And don't think your going to get days it takes about 14 to 16 years
Air Walker/Driver Assistant (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 11 November 2017
Delivering parcels door to door to commercial/businesses and residential. Hardest part of the job is walking with about 20-40lbs of parcel in a cart trying to deliver them by foot on a summer day Satisfying feeling when you put a smile on peoples faces once they receive their valuables
