How long does it take to get hired from start to finish at Trimac Transportation? What are the steps along the way?
The hiring process depends on your position and location. Generally, for all positions (Admin, Driver, Shop), you can expect to begin work within 5-10 days.
Trimac's hours vary per location and per position. Some of our operations are open 24 hours, where others have standard business hours. Be sure to connect with your Recruiter to confirm hours of operations at your location!
The transportation/trucking industry as a whole is one of the most steady industries to date. Trimac will invest in you! We are constantly evolving and improving to exceed expectations by innovating and developing our current employees. Our employees are the backbone to everything that we do.
There are certain areas across the US and Canada that are still hiring while others are laying off. These decisions are made due to the volume of business during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please visit our COVID-19 response page for more information - https://www.trimac.com/covid-19-update
Your dress code depends on your position and all positions keep safety top of mind. During the hiring process, we encourage you to ask your recruiter what your position requires.
If you were in charge, what would you do to make Trimac Transportation a better place to work?
Make payroll a little easier for the drivers to follow once they get their settlements. Don't hold drivers hostage because they refuse to do something when YOU were the one that made them uncomfortable doing it after the first time. Assure them it won't happen, and put steps in place to ensure this.
