Absolutely love working here, best summer job I have ever had!!
Guide (Current Employee) –  Stouffville, ON10 May 2019
The people here are some of the most friendly and fun people I have ever worked with. Everyone is super encouraging and supportive. It doesn't feel like a job, it feels like you are with friends all the time.
Pros
Outside all day, physically active job, people there are the best part.
Cons
Can be a lot of physical work sometimes, scheduling is sometimes unpredictable.

Fun job but lousy management
Supervisor & lead rescue guide (Former Employee) –  Brampton, ON20 November 2018
minimum wage job that is social, fun, and healthy. Unfortunately the management is self centered and does not care about its employees. You don't get a lunch break unless things slow down, but they rarely do. The hours are inconsistent and don't allow much for security of income.
Pros
Outdoors
Cons
The way the company is run favours short-term employment... summer students.

Highly rewarding job
Lead Arborist/Forest Manager (Former Employee) –  Barrie, ON3 January 2018
Position consisted of designing and building aerial parks, often would live on site of the new park for months at a time. Typical project ranged from 3-5months depending on the scope of project, living with colleagues was an enjoyable experience for a bachelor. Being un-attached is certainly a plus as you do live away from home for long periods of time and hours tend to be project specific, and as deadlines approach can expect 10-12 hour days as needed.

Position required construction experience and rope access experience was an asset.

Would recommend this work to someone willing to travel and work hard and learn. Its a unique and highly rewarding line of work.
Pros
Working in the forest, varied pace and tasks, unique line of work, highly rewarding.
Cons
long hours, living on the road, some challenges with management
