Labourer (Former Employee) – Calgary, AB – 14 February 2019
Management has no idea what they're doing, head office lies to you, layoffs are rampant, nobody who works there is happy. Current manager fosters a shop vs office attitude and plays favorites, gets angry if you voice a concern.
Good growing company with great roots in the ground
Shipper/Receiver (Current Employee) – Calgary, AB – 17 November 2018
Tree Island is a good place to work. If you work hard and put effort in then advancement is always available. If you have a poor attitude and treat people poorly then you will go nowhere. A few small growing pains but it's getting busy and there is always work. If you're a good worker and can care about what you do this is a great place to work.
Lots of work, great benefits, RRSP matching, good people
Hours are great, management is open to communication, co-workers are friendly. There is always something to do and the day goes by quickly
Union Payroll Administrator (Current Employee) – Richmond, BC – 17 August 2012
My position keeps me busy. I work in operations dept. and it feels like family; I like helping the plant employees. The hardest part of my job is reconciling a large amount of details right before deadline to close for the period end. The best part is a good raport with my manager and great co-workers... hours are good too. Not enough time off though, would like more vacations.
stuck to my desk allll day, would like to have more autonomy
